Our season reminds me of cronulla 2008

I think your right and I expect our entry into the finals series to be short and not so sweet. Although you have to be in it to win it

yeah we've won ugly but the only contenders we've played being st george and manly have beaten us. i honestly cant find an answer to why we are performing so poorly. on paper we're one of the best sides in the comp. Whats doing?

To be honest youd have to say that Cronulla were playing better football in 2008 then we are playing now.. And yes I agree that if we keep playing the way we are, like Cronulla we will get hammared against a good team in the finals. The upside is that without doubt we have ALOT more potential then they did.. we just need to click.

We are way behind the pace and struggling in most of the key areas and really cant see the worm going up in the near future. Its not like they are playing good and bad. They are playing average and bad. If it was ten weeks out you would not be worried buts not. As I have said for a while this team is way down on 2009 yet we are probably semi bound

It's funny when you compare our comprehensive win against Cronulla last year (56-10), to this year's game (24-22) shows how much more confident and dangerous we were with Moltzen in the side, shows that in order to win a premiership he is a must. And when you compare those two performances you'd think that the last year we'd be destined for the finals and when you see this year's you'd think we'd be headed for another year in 9th position (or worse).

Lats years late season roll we looked like a well oiled football team. This year barring may be one or two 30 minute bursts we have been horrible. Okay we have got plenty of wins but I reckon we are the no1 pretenders for 2010

It's as clear as day that Wests are struggling for form. The attack is pedestrain and points are scored through individual effort rather than a collective team effort. However, 5 weeks out from the Finals, that gives the Tigers just over a month to get their house in order. 1 week is a long time in Rugby League, let alone 5\. I don't like to draw comparison to past or previous years or various clubs. Wests are their own team in 2010 and every week against every opponent is going to throw up something new. Regardless where ever Cronulla or Nth QLD etc are positioned on the ladder, every team in this competition has the ability and potential to knock anyone off on their day. Sure some playing roster's might be stronger than others, but gone are the days that you could walk into a ground confidently thinking "Yep, we've got this one in the bag". In my opinion, as long as the Tigers defence holds up, the attack will come. Ity's only a matter of time.

The best thing that could have happened for us was to win this game this week…

It now almost 100% assures us of Semi Final Football and should allow the shackles to be released... If they are and we are allowed to play a bit more freely it could well be the thing that sparks the attack back to what we know we can do...

Here's hoping anyway...

We have been lucky, with results this year but all that matters is where we are coming on the ladder come the business time of the year. I feel we are doing just enough atm but more importantly we are flying under the radar, alot of people are writing us off and as the old saying goes dont show all your cards at once and i may be optimistic but i think come finals time we will play a differnt style of football and really suprise alot. Being an attacking machine doesnt get you to the finals as we found out the last couple of years but being gritty and grinding out wins does. I think we will hit our straps against Melbourne and really give this thing a shake!!

The finals are a whole new competition…

IIRC... we were flying and then got smashed by Penrith and Melbourne in '05...

Come Week 1 of the Finals Sheens had them primed...

Spot on. I agree entirely.

i think our attack will click against the titans i will be there cheering them on that game looms as the pinnacle to our season i think if we win well like we did last year against the dogs then our confidence will be sky high leading into week 1

id like to let sheen's let of the reins just a tad and get them out of this must just grind to win.. sure we've shown we can do it and sometimes its good.. but as the dragons has shown.. when it comes to business end if u can't put points on well ur nobodies.

Here's hoping we hit our straps.. if we hit that 2nd half warriors form any game in the final 5 we will win the premiership!
