"He has played some first grade and fits our type of player.

What are the characteristics that Sheens & Co look at when trying to fit a player into "Our Type of Player" category ?

After watching Sheens talk about him, the only quality Sheens seem to mention is his speed.

So that's it- to be a Tiger, you must be fast.

a player that is all washed up elsewhere or an outside chance like Daniella, otherwise its a junior. Our type of player is not someone like kimmorley, poore, inu, because they are TOO big and sheens wants it his way. Its not a bad theory, one that sheens subscribes too. This puzzle could all fall into place if we had an organizing half back and a specialist field goal sniper at the crucial times like just before half time when all else has been exhausted. If brett finch signs all i can say is that its a step in the right direction. Moltzen is the X factor.

Hmm, seriously I think Sheens entertains the idea that any player in his side must be able to use the ball, but then that doesn't explain how Halatau is named each week.

I think as far as backs go, they obviously have to be quick and know how to finish off a play, but really, the Tigers have lacked outright pace this season with Lawrence being sidelined We've got Ryan on the wing who is certainly no flyer. Ayshford isn't lightning but is quick enough to play in the centres while Moltzen is deceptively quick.

The Tigers are renowned for their mobility around the field so I guess Daniela offers speed, which is handy to have and I think the way things are going, the Tigers will boast a speedy and potentially quite sizeable backline next season depending on selections.

a player who comes into the team and gives it his all, and may have once played with Penrith.

Based on our recent purchasing 'cheap' sums it up pretty good.

I don't mind cheap. Cheap is alright IMO. It's better than paying overs for turnips like we have in seasons gone by. If we can get by in 2011 with a thrifty top 25, maybe we can put all this salary cap pressure behind us once and for all.

Fullbacks who can come off the bench
Centres who can play in the halves or backrow
Fullbacks who can play in the halves
Halves who can play in the centres or backrow
Backrowers who play in the front row

So when you think about it, it could be:

Bench>fullback>halves>backrow>prop, or

Centres>backrow>frontrow
