I really believe that Cleary is only looking to '18, giving some of the younger guys a shot to see if they are worth keeping.

I think Cleary is as confused as everyone else as to why they make so many errors. They give away the most stupid penalties. They kick the ball into the legs of players over and over again, they pass the ball to no one and on and on it goes. Stupid mistakes. Tigers need to commit to winning games and that means not making school boy errors.

They also need a decent goal kicker. Being ahead by 6 points instead of 4 is a psychological advantage that should never be under estimated. Taylor was an excellent goal kicker and he knew that to be true. I could never work out why he wasnt trying to develop a decent couple of goal kickers while he was coaching them.
You guys are off ya lolly…it just needs a few tweaks here and there...Next Year..

Well I've been around a long time and I remember some bad teams. Balmain got the wooden spoon in early/mid 70's not long after winning the comp and Balmain and Wests have had some pretty ordinary teams since then.
Yet most of those sides had no representative players.
We have one of the best front rowers and near the best fullback going around and we still can't beat time.
Then I think back to early this year when we beat Souths, the Cowboys in Townsville and then the Bulldogs. Nearly the same players too. What's changed?
The only thing that I can think of is the M Moses crap when he wanted out. It got that bad with his attitude at training and in games that Cleary got rid of him. Then at Parra with his thoughtless comments about his former team mates.
For me, we have been on a slippery dip ever since.
Cleary's right. There is a distinct lack of confidence in this group now.
Yet most of those sides had no representative players.

at no stage did we look like scoring a length of the field try like we could occasionally do in previous teams.

And I agree that we never look like scoring a length of the field try. You're always thinking…give him a runner Then your next thought is...but who...There seems to no game plan and it's a long time since I saw anything that looks like a set play.
Still I'll tip them against Knights next week...if Tedesco is in the side
