Leave it to the professionals. Hindsight is a great thing but no one here will know the correct circumstances to judge accordingly.
Each situation is different and each body is different so something that might work for some people may not work for others. Some peoples body make up is different to others (lax or tight ligaments etc). Just because Gallen had an injury to the supposed same area (apparently Syndesmosis but I want clarification) doesn't mean it's the same lay off or same circumstances.
It's only via experience that you will know roughly how many weeks a player will be out, some people heal quicker and slower than others and that's the reality.
