I use to like Penrith and the way it was played out by Gus and Ivan was extremely poor. Nathan was upset to read it was UN Australian to do what they did.

Nathan hope this upsets you, It was UN AUSTRALIAN and history will show that.

I would not write them off yet, but they have poor structure and are only an injury to one of their spine players away from disaster. We have some players of less fame and reputation, however I would rather have heart and respect than a supposed reputation.

I would hope we continue our form today and have a massive game next week as this will show we have got a better deal from what destabilised our back end of last season.

I reckon Coach Cleary just wants to wash away the last months of his Wests Tigers demise as if they never happened.

Time will tell I guess. Maybe they’ll have a good year but it’s a slow start. As I said last year they’ve massively painted themselves into a corner. If they struggle what do they do? They’ll look dumb if they cut I Cleary, risk losing N Cleary and be out big money. They’ve tied their whole operation up to one player. Would Ivan ever drop Nathan? If it goes tits up you’re stuck with a kid on massive money and a coach directly tied into him. If either aren’t up to it you lose both and it’s back to year zero for Gus’s next 5 year plan.
