This is all that needs to be said about Alan Jones.

Interesting article

Sea Eagles assistant coach Matt Parish has announced he'll be leaving the club to take up a position with the Parramatta Eels next season.
Parish, who joined Geoff Toovey's staff at the end of 2011, said the choice to leave was not made lightly, especially after the achievements Toovey made in his debut season at the helm.
"It was a very tough decision because I really admire Tooves and the staff and the players," Parish said.
"I can tell you I had many sleepless nights about it.
"Manly have been really good to me and I appreciate everything they have done."
Parish says he learned a lot at Toovey's right hand and believes the club is in very good hands, with the coaching staff already excited for 2013.
"He is terrific to work with," Parish said All the staff there are really good and I had a great time there.
"I think it is going to be a bit tougher than what it's been," he said.
"But while ever you have the players of the calibre of the Stewarts and the Watmoughs and the Matais you are going to be a force," he said.
The Sea Eagles thank Matt for his efforts at the club and wish him the best of luck for the future.

he wants Potter or Anderson is the way i read it

Not to worried about Parish moving off the market. It could mean two things? One that Parish has no interest in the job currently and wants to honour his original decision. Or 2, it could simply mean he has not been contacted to this point re: WT's job. Ricky Stuart has said he would not stand in his way should an offer for head coach come in for Parish. I don't think we've learnt anything from this news this morning.

My bad,I meant I don't want Parish as coach,Brown,Potter,Anderson or Folkes would be great.

There seems to be a lot of hypocricy in this thread. Whats the first thing people say whenever they suspect a DT beat up? they moan that there were no quotes therefore it cannot be the truth. I can't see Jones quoted anywhere in this article yet people are happy to assume the DT are telling the truth this time, most probably cos it suits their agenda. Everyone has one

Imagine letting Alan Jones have anything at all to do or say about the place, after signing his useless union halfback mate to replace Gary Freeman, Balmain was an absolute debacle under him.

Manly Sea Eagles assistant coach Matt Parish will join Ricky Stuart at Paramatta Eels in 2013, turning his back on interest from Wests Tigers for their vacant head coaching role.

Parish was considered the favourite for the head coaching position at the Tigers following long-time mentor Tim Sheens's sacking on Tuesday.

Agree, yet confess to at times "choosing to believe " a poorly reference DT article if it suits my hopes or thinking most f us prob do it.

Not a fan of AJ and care little for what it is worth

I hope not Matt Parish. If its him than the fears of every decent Wests fan will be pretty much confirmed.

That tells me he was told he wasn't getting the job with us,please let that be true,we don't want Parish,he was reported as going to the Eels weeks ago,its strange he has announced that now.

Yeah agree, otherwise why would he turn down an opportunity to become head coach just to take up another position as assistant coach? Unless it's a lack of ambition, which I doubt.
