Sea Eagles assistant coach Matt Parish has announced he'll be leaving the club to take up a position with the Parramatta Eels next season.
Parish, who joined Geoff Toovey's staff at the end of 2011, said the choice to leave was not made lightly, especially after the achievements Toovey made in his debut season at the helm.
"It was a very tough decision because I really admire Tooves and the staff and the players," Parish said.
"I can tell you I had many sleepless nights about it.
"Manly have been really good to me and I appreciate everything they have done."
Parish says he learned a lot at Toovey's right hand and believes the club is in very good hands, with the coaching staff already excited for 2013.
"He is terrific to work with," Parish said All the staff there are really good and I had a great time there.
"I think it is going to be a bit tougher than what it's been," he said.
"But while ever you have the players of the calibre of the Stewarts and the Watmoughs and the Matais you are going to be a force," he said.
The Sea Eagles thank Matt for his efforts at the club and wish him the best of luck for the future.

@norm said:Imagine letting Alan Jones have anything at all to do or say about the place, after signing his useless union halfback mate to replace Gary Freeman, Balmain was an absolute debacle under him.
@GNR4LIFE said:There seems to be a lot of hypocricy in this thread. Whats the first thing people say whenever they suspect a DT beat up? they moan that there were no quotes therefore it cannot be the truth. I can't see Jones quoted anywhere in this article yet people are happy to assume the DT are telling the truth this time, most probably cos it suits their agenda. Everyone has one
