Parramatta

Moi moi got them on the front foot and Hayne played on the back of it last year. I'm lovin it because they were my prediction to miss the eight this year though they did this last year so it's too early to write them off yet. Put it this way i havent got the nuts to put money on them to miss it.

Are they the closest thing to a one man band? At the moment yes. Everything they need has to come through Hayne. Too many under performing stars> i feel real sorry Daniel Anderson.

So the likes of Moimoi did nothing at the end of last year? good one.

all teams have bad run of losses.
wests-tigers did it mid season in 2009, then won alot to just miss out on top 8 spot.
would not be suprised to see the eels, have a form reversal sometime during year.
just hope its not against wests-tigers in round 24

lol, I'm referring to this year incase you misread it.

Moi Moi hasn't had the same effect this year but when the whole side is a little down on form it's no surprise. They'll find their form and most likely still make the top 8\. It's anyone guess as to when they'll turn things round though.

Thought you were also referring to late last year.

It's obvious big names aren't firing, putting pressure on Hayne who isn't delivering. Will they make the 8? probably, they've got too many stars to continue playing this bad, they'll probably make it, but won't do much with it.

I don't see it. They have a poor halfback, five-eighth and hooker, three key positions.

Hindmarsh cripples them - his attack is non existant. He is a stats player - makes 44 tackles a game, 40 of them he's the third man in.

Mateo is talented but lazy. Ben Smith is a toiler at best. Burt is an average first grader. Grothe is powerful in attack but has no idea defensively. Reddy is average. Tahu is out of form. Cayless is past his best.

Did you read my full post? I said they look good on paper bar their 6, 7 and 9.

But they don't - plenty of other problems aside from their 6, 7, 9.

They don't have anywhere near close to the best team on paper.

Maybe I chose my words incorrectly. When you look through their squad, there are several high profile players who, on their day, can tear any team apart. Guys like Hayne, Mateo, Hindmarsh, Moi Moi, Poore, Tahu, Moritmer, Grothe to an extent, can all make huge impacts and cause massive headaches for teams. Probably because of how the media hypes certain teams/players up after any win has contributed to this, but the overall thing I'm trying to get at is they're hugely overrated by many and only judged on how they perform in their wins and on the magic plays some of them produce, not for their consistent performances from guys like Galloway, Gibbs and Ellis.

I never saw what was so special about them in the first place.

As hybrid tiger said they've got an ordinary 6,7,9 combination along with most of their foward pack.

When they stop relying on players like Jarryd Hayne to come up with the big play, and start working as a unit as they did to the back end of last season, then I'm sure they'll start registering some more wins.

Do remember, they've traditionally been slow starters and this year has been no exception. However, some of the losses they've received have signalled some problems amongst them as a team.
