Pass mark 2022

If we show commitment, passion and hard work every game but still miss the 8 - would everyone be happy?

I think the pass mark has to be 8th, to get there we would of had to show better attributes than we did in 21 anyway. Anything less, its just yet another year you look back on thinking "how disappointing, the opportunity was there and yet again the Tigers didn't deliver". 2019 comes to mind, we showed more grit and determination that season and yet I look back at that year in disgust because of that last game...typical Tigers.

I actually would be happy, because all i have ever wanted from my club is to do their best each week.Winning is a bonus i will happily take but there is nothing i dislike more than seeing players on big money just going through the motions and we certainly had a few of those in 2021

Pass is middle of the road.
Win percentage to be above 50%.
Table position to be above 8th.
Anything else is a failure as we all know far too well.

I would like us not to be in the opposition's 2022 highlight reels.
Have you ever noticed this? Their best tries, best hit ups, best tackles etc often feature us as opposition.
**We demand an improvement in defense especially from our backs.**
I want Roberts to make a go of it. He tends to arm grab too often.
As people on hear have said Gildarts defense in NRL is untested.
Tupou is still very young and untested and the best is AD and he's out for a chuck of the year and also be a bit sus in D.
One of my favorites is Noffa but he too often gets found out in no mans land.
Communication in 'D' between our players must be a priority during preseason and more commitment come gameday.
Hopefully the new coaching group can sort this mess out.
So a pass is an improvement in defense thus a better points differential than last year.

It’s a good goal because it can be measured by numbers. Opposition’s tries, line breaks etc.

This sounds ordinary but I don't think it will be judged on wins or ladder position.

I want to see:
- young players improve
- better attitude and no games where the team turns it up
- our best players re-signing with the club

If Gildart and Hastings don't fire, recruitment has been a failure. Same situation if the youngsters don't come on or players like Stefano walk out the door. We are back to square one and nothing to show for the supposed roster rebuild that has occurred.
