On another forum their is a fan who's blowing up Deluxe about Politoni trialling apparently with our Coastal squad and wondering why Iosefa was preferred over him, yet another Sheens conspiracy, let's have Shane Flanagan appear to be the Sharks coach but the mysterious Mr Sheens will always be in the background.

i heard he had signed with the sharks anyways, not that i would understand why when they have lichaa coming through

Sharks website and wayne cousins confirmed he has signed with the sharks.
Ironic point in the story on the sharks site, politoni signed with the sharks because he was looking for an opportunity as he was stuck behind Farah here at the tiges.
The article lists him as their 4th best hooker and states he's not even training with the NRL squad.

You can have the best Hooker/Forward in the world and it was Balmain/Wests Tigers that went a long way in refining the role, but I'm thinking where is the sucession plan, who has the role when Robbie is no longer the player of choice, do we go for the long term pain or the short term gain?.

Manaia Cherrington seems to be our long term plan. In the meantime we still have Iosefa around.

Well remember Michael Brown? Anyway our NYC won the comp and Balmain SG Ball were national champs so there's a reasonable long-term. I realise you're talking about next year but it's the way of the world with fringe first graders - they often move from club to club looking for a break. For whatever reason Pat thinks either the finances or opportunities are going to be better for him at the Sharks.

He becomes the 3rd former WestsTigers hooker at the Sharks this year, lets sign Cherrington long term, the Sharks might be circling.

They had Stuart Flanagan at one stage too.
