Nah stick to Thurstons a wanker he always laughs when that chant goes up, probably the last time he will grace Leichhardt Oval. A good guy.

Hadn't even thought of this until now….

.... Will have to get me thinking cap on for some witty comments

Same same, it didn't even occur to me to get into Bolton. I don't even see him as important enough to their side to bother.

Now I think about it, I figure he's had a tough enough week as it is. It's his own stupid fault, but I don't really feel like getting into him for it - for me there's a sort of line between heckling and the real-world stuff that happens off-field. Even blokes who get done for some crime and return to the game, I don't like to joke about that (e.g. G Bird, Auva'a, Packer, Lodge) because it demeans the real-world reality of both the crime and the victim. For me, jeering at the footy is all about joking and gamesmanship, and I'd treat any footballer like a regular human being if I met them in person.

As another example, I get into Moses constantly because of the way he left the Tigers and the constant on-field crap and ego he's gone on with since. Can't stand him. Him and Tedesco have copped so much curry from me this year, especially when Teddy dropped that sitter pass Rd 1 to bomb the try, totally made my season within the first 40 minutes.

Darius Boyd however, that bloke has had legit mental health issues, requiring him to take time off the game, and on-field he doesn't display the arrogance to make him a target for me. So I would get no satisfaction from heckling him.

Being found not guilty is not the same as being found innocent, it's very different…

It hasn't even gone to trial yet, so your point is moot…

I replied to Defiant who said "quite a few players have been found innocent in the past of these types of allegations"…they haven't been found innocent, they have been found not guilty. The point is not moot.

I see what you mean now. Due to a lack of evidence, they could not press charges.

Bingo, I recall the Greg Bird Glassing incident being one where the charges were dropped/watered down or similar. He clearly glassed his partner.

I also recall Brett Stewart being wrung dry, when it appears to have been a setup.

Should the NRL act? Yes, but only in cases where it's very clear wrongful behaviour has been engaged. IMHO It's not Innocent till proven Guilty, it's reasonable belief (similar to the French system where a commission of inquiry is formed rather then a Jury.). Yes it should act.

On Domestic Violence….. We need to stamp it out but we need to reform not just punish offenders. Change the Behaviour which is going to be really hard. The Dogs got it right with Barba.

I think I'll target Thurston. If Bolton does anything positive of note I'll streak. Seriously it's like someone playing against us in the past and sledging Milone.

Plus the feeling when you know you've stuffed up is the worst feeling I've ever felt and apart from 80 minutes tonight I don't wish pain and suffering on people when they are vulnerable. No judgement though, if people have good sledges I'll laugh.

Yeah….makes sense - good comparison.

How many games did Milone play in first grade again?

Not sure, a lot less than Bolton, but that is partly positional (you need two bench props and usually no bench centers)

I'm two beers in and heading to either the Red Lion or Garry Owen then maybe the Orange Grove and into the ground. I'll just be following the crowd and hooking up with a group from work and some old mates and my bro's. Such good atmosphere going through the back streets of Balmain into that ground.
i'll be in the mood to sledge , come kick off.
