I wonder who that is "Flanagan."

As well as a cheat he's an agitator by the sound of it. I hope he is never part of our club.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn !

Oh I see, it's what ifs and look after there!

Maguire is not the man to lead the team forward.

And it’s all what “ifs” if a different coach comes in !
Can’t keep giving into the pea heart players mate ..
How many times have we already been down that path !

I have always been happy to acknowledge the good work done by the club in this area.

It doesn't take away from the fact our NRL team has gone backwards under Maguire. Or, that our defence is appalling and has not improved one iota under Maguire. We need a new coach with a new skillset to drive the club forward.

For most, this roster has been signed or re-signed by Maguire. He can't have it both ways or, can he? The Madge apologists will have you believe he can be quarantined from blame. It doesn't work that way.

Well I want us to be a team that can be challenged for the title year on year out.
Ie Souths, Manly, Roosters, Storm, and In later years Parra, Raiders and Panthers.

If we have gone as far as you feel with Maguire do you personally feel with or without changes to our roster that we will displace one of the above by coaching personal only within the next 3 years?

Because if you don’t feel that’s possible there’s no point moving on the problem if the next coach can’t do it.

Paul Kent: Wests Tigers’ rebuild taking shape, if club holds its nerve over Michael Maguire

After finally committing to a way out of a decade-long cycle of failure, Wests Tigers must fight calls that will send them spiralling back into the rugby league abyss, PAUL KENT writes.

If we're honest with ourselves, it's hard to argue against anything he's said. Recovery from years of neglect requires patience and pain, but (hopefully) there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Another yawn …
We have to sign 30 players each year..we can’t just put that money to one side .
As a club we haven’t landed decent talent way before Madge came here .

It’s going to take a lot longer than 2.5 years to sort out the shit Madge has walked into ..

We all want our club to compete in the top 4. We differ on the way it should be gone about.

I believe our roster is better than performances suggest under Maguire. A new face with a different skillset, a new method of communication, better assistants and maybe just maybe a better profile to attract talent is what the club requires.

I guess its a long term play - we recruit cost-effectively and uncover the diamonds like Stefano and Laurie - hopefully keep them. Invest in the lower grades. There is some real potential there that might take 2-4 years to play out.

Most the roster has been signed or re-signed by Madge, though significant allocations of the cap still rest with Packer and Mbye which was not his doing.

My issues with Madge lie with his team selections, bench rotations, and his inability to find decent support coaches to help him.

Don’t think Flanagan would do any better though and I reckon we will finish the year better than we started.

For me Madge isn’t part of the problem, though it remains to be seen whether he is part of the solution.

This is not a bad squad .. seen the motivated efforts in some games this season , should be cemented in the 8 already .A new coach top 8 next year put your bets on . After 3 seasons of failure only the Tigers club would roll into next season with him as coach ! Fluff of the highest order .

Great conversationalist you are….
Opinions are like…. Well we both have them, but they are just that.

Awesome article. One of the only ones I've read recently that makes sense to me.

I have been stoked not signing the so called marquee players that we have been linked to recently.

I can see this turning around if we continue on the path we are on. It sucks losing way too often but what sucks to me more is seeing guys like Mbye and Reynolds at this club as marquee players when they not quality first graders.
