Penalty Try?

There have been many disallowed trys this year that in any other era would be a try.

Also rules change, for many years the corner post was considered part of the touch line. So there have been many tries scored this year that for most of the history of the game would have been disallowed.

@happy_tiger I agree 100%, if you are a decoy that goes into an offside position it is your responsibility to clear the defensive line without having an impact. The current interpretation is clear and I agree you can tell what is and isn't a try straight a way.

Yeah sure. That’s why it takes them several replays to make a decision. Clear as mud.

Mike from the games I watch many times they don't even progress to grounding to avoid any confusion

I couldn't remember the last time I said the "what the " when I watched a video ref decision on an obstruction play

lol. You must be watching different games because that’s my reaction every weekend. ?

That is only because you disagree with the current interpretation! You don't like the rulings. When was the last time you didn't know why they disallowed it, taking your dislike for the the decision out of it?

You are right I don’t like the rule. There have been many disallowed trys this year that in any other era would be a try. The rule is just plain wrong.

I say the same thing with knock ons , play the balls , multiple defenders , slow ruck , interchange

They whinge about tired defenders ....blah blah blah ....I watch Cameron Smith ,Farah , McInnes etc etc virtually every week play 80 minutes and make 40-50 wouldn't blow a cadle out after 80 minutes

The game and it's officials think fans are complete morons

Don’t get me started with knock-ons. These current lot obviously failed fundamental physics and geometry in high-school. A dropped ball is not the same as a knock-on. It’s not touch football. See you started me...
