His smartness and operation levels are 9/10. The reason people hate him is because he behaves like he's a 12/10 who is always right.

Listening to his podcast has given me a great understanding of rugby league. maybe there are smarter men than him in Rugby League but none in the media.

It's not about his analysis or tactics, his understanding of what makes a great Rugby League club is next level.

Most of their commentators are biased?

Agree that Gould is the type you love on your side but hate if he isn't. Smart operator, but a snake.

He is a pathetic commentator. He waits for something to occur, claims he has been talking about it all year and then repeats it for the rest of the game.
Very rarely does he get a prediction right at the beginning of a game.

we rolled back the clock 2day sulking,,80;s viewing was basically from the top of grandstand. You could spot holes gaps etc on tele n commentators sounded like 70;s radio, (relaxed),modern day is in the face of the tackle, count the pimples on the kids face...It all ended in oow"s n rrr"s over the 1st 2wks during covid when just the players were heard cursing n barking instructions. Not 80minutes of 4 people over talking each other struggling to take a breath via their bs describing what we can all see

Still remember he claimed Penrith were on top in 2020 when the Storm lead 22-0. All their commentators suck anyway. I was never a fan of Rabs later in his career, the grumpy old man routine wore out pretty quick with me, but they are taking the piss with the guy they replaced him with.

Agree. Rabs was a shocking commentator. Nice bloke though.

Thurston, Locker, Johns and Fittler are downright painful to listen to.
