Iam amazed every media story, print and radio has said how manly lost it, were unlucky and we were lucky. I was at the game and for sixty minutes we were by far the better side, a couple of half chance went begging that could have made the score anything. Okay Manly did come home hard and fast, but IMO the refs eased up on them and gave them plenty of leeway to launch their assault. It would have been nice for a media outlet to paint the true story for once and give some credit to a team who have been on the wrong end of more than fair share of bad luck in 2009\. Back to the post Yes Gould is a pain in the butt but usually he spends a lot of time giving us good publicity so I can live with him on this occasion.

I thought his praise of Galloway was funny "the slowest player in the NRL" and now he is also Gus' "favourite player" he also proclaimed as MOM before the match had started.

Radio commentaors should be aware that most lisners are not watching the game and would prefer a great call than comments. Its okay when TV commentators do it alhough Daley's very basic and elementry comments are horrrible.

Gus' call did make the call very suspenseful though (for the last Manly play I didn't know what was going on, the call took too long to say whether they had scored or orford's pass went into touch. hey were all just moaning in either delite or misbelievement. I couldn' tell at the time)

to play manly n win the game in a 9min window mid-way thru the 1st half then defend n scramble the way we did we deserve all the credit we get. manly didnt lose it. we beat them.
i can not believe hasler even had the nerve to complain about the 1st 4 penalties in a row went to the tigers when the next 5 went to manly & we didnt get a penalty for over 50mins. then watmough comes out n says we were lucky to win. if he had had a shocker he would have kept his mouth shut.
that win was more satisfying than a thumping of a bottom placed team. the tigers players will take a lot out of that gutsy victory.
