1\. Moltzen - 102 metres in attack, 1 tackle break, 4 tackles, 4 missed tackles, 2 errors.

The Good - Had a go tonight after a disappointing match last week. Took the line on far more than he has in recent weeks and should learn to back himself more as he will eventually find his attacking prowess as long as he keeps his head up and sticks at it. Defused several dangerous kicks tonight too.

The Bad - Dropped one crucial bomb which led to the Dragons first try. Missed as many tackles as he made. Still does not the support the general play in attack which lets his overall game at fullback down.

2\. Ryan - 138 metres in attack, 1 try, 1 line break, 1 try assist, 5 tackle breaks, 6 tackles, 1 missed tackle.

The Good - Safe in attack and defence tonight, and did particularly well on a couple of occasions in supporting Lawrence once Benji put him away. Made a very decisive run in coming in field in the second half to link up with Marshall to put him away for a try, and scored a good try of his own in support of the flying Lawrence.

The Bad - Nothing to report.

3\. Ayshford - 63 metres in attack, 2 tackle breaks, 3 offloads, 9 tackles, 2 missed tackles, 1 error.

The Good - Kept Matt Cooper in check for most of the night and had a tough battle against the seasoned pro.

The Bad - Cooper really did shut Ayshford down in attack and looked a yard quicker than Blake which really did cut down on his time with the ball in hand to attack. Needs to be careful with his rushing in defence as Cooper got on the outside of him a couple of times.

4\. Lawrence - 141 metres in attack, 2 line breaks, 1 line break assist, 1 try assist, 3 tackle breaks, 10 tackles, 1 missed tackle.

The Good - Continues to go from strength to strength in attack, again looked dangerous everytime he ran the ball and caused damage on the edges all night. Again showed his class in putting Ryan away twice and kept Gasnier quiet all night.

The Bad - Tore his hamstring late in the game. It's not a serious tear, but he'll miss a few weeks unfortunately.

5\. Utai - 110 metres in attack, 2 tackle breaks, 5 tackles, 1 missed tackle, 1 error.

The Good - Hustled and bustled his way through the game and did a lot of the hard yards all night.

The Bad - Cannot afford to let genuine speedsters get on the outside of him as Morris did tonight. Needs to keep a check on his temper too, I thought he may have given away a penalty right at the death during the last scrum. Looks suspect when bombs get hoisted his way.

6\. Marshall - 122 metres in attack, 1 try, 2 goals, 1 line break assist, 3 offloads, 5 tackle breaks, 7 tackles, 3 missed tackles, 1 error.

The Good - Big game, big occasion and stepped up again to get the Tigers back in the game, and more importantly - in front when the Dragons looked like they were in control. Came up with some devastating attacking play on the edges to leave the Dragons rattled and scored a great try of his own tonight. General kicking game was effective.

The Bad - Goalkicking looked a little suspect tonight.

7\. Lui - 77 metres in attack, 2 tackle breaks, 19 tackles, 7 missed tackles.

The Good - Attacking game looked sharp tonight and he troubled the Dragons on several runs. Passing game and linking with Marshall and Farah was good. Some of his general kicks were good too.

The Bad - Defence is still poor although he did put pressure on the attackers when he did miss and they were covered by other players pretty easily. Needs to work hard at it though, he can and must improve his defence to become a better overall player.

8\. Gibbs - 136 metres in attack, 22 tackles.

The Good - He was a machine tonight and really worked hard around the ruck all game. Easily took it to the more fancied Dragons pack and came out on top. Great metres up the middle and solid defence.

The Bad - Looked to nearly blow up at the end and possibly give away a penalty which could have given the Dragons a chance to snatch a draw.

9\. Farah - 80 metres in attack, 1 try assist, 1 tackle break, 34 tackles, 2 errors.

The Good - Took some smart options in attack tonight and caused the Dragons some problems around the ruck. General kicking game was improved and he defended well all game. Deft kick for the Fulton try.

The Bad - Nothing really to complain about, he was hard done by late in the game for an error when the ball was attacked by a Dragons player in the ruck.

10\. Galloway - 102 metres in attack, 2 tackle breaks, 26 tackles, 1 missed tackle.

The Good - Strong game again and played big minutes. Went forward and defended well.

The Bad - No real criticism tonight.

11\. Fulton - 58 metres in attack, 1 try, 1 offload, 3 tackle breaks, 45 tackles, 2 missed tackles.

The Good - Solid again on the edges, defended tirelessly and kept up his good strikerate against the Dragons with a well deserved try.

The Bad - On report for a swinging arm.

12\. Ellis - 46 metres in attack, 24 tackles, 5 missed tackles.

The Good - When his tackles stick, they really stick.

The Bad - Quiet in attack, and missed too many tackles.

13\. Heighington - 108 metres in attack, 1 offload, 2 tackle breaks, 25 tackles, 1 missed tackle, 1 error.

The Good - Strong around the ruck once again and got through a lot of effective work now that he is getting a decent break mid-game.

The Bad - Zilch.

14\. McKinnon - 18 metres in attack, 2 tackles, 2 errors.

The Good - Put his body on the line when the Dragons put in a series of attacking grubber kicks inside the final minute of the game and defused what were potentially try scoring situations.

The Bad - Came up with 2 errors, but given he attacked the ball at speed, I believe most fullbacks would have fumbled the same kicks. I don't believe he is suited to the interchange bench being a specialist fullback.

15\. Payten - 15 metres in attack, 12 tackles, 3 missed tackles.

The Good - Looked a little sharper than last week.

The Bad - Zero impact with the ball and I don't think he can handle playing more than 20 minutes a game at this stage.

17\. Woods - 77 metres in attack, 22 tackles, 1 missed tackle.

The Good - Went forward with the ball and defended well. Did not fall for any nonsense this week and played well against a seasoned forward pack.

The Bad - Nothing to report.

18\. Groat - 45 metres in attack, 22 tackles, 2 missed tackles.

The Good - Defended well and did well on the kick chase.

The Bad - Penalised once…that's about it.

Willow I reckon Fulton will be OK with his high tackle charge Yes he has struck him high , but Nightingale head was barely above hip level when he struck him . Great report again Nailed it champion

Good read as always Willow, cheers!

I though Groat was impressive tonight, geez he's a big unit! He did give away one penalty for staying in a tackle too long, which was a joke - i think thats when i lost my voice screaming at Archer! lol

Pretty poor stats from Gareth on the back of his huge game last week.

Meters gained look low from Robbie. I thought he easily cracked 100meters tonight.

Fulton will be fine. Accidental high shot about 3 feet off the ground. Nothing in it.

Noticed Beau Scott missed a few tonight which was great seeing as he got that ridiculous write up in the paper.

Good work Willow.

Yeah According to NRL stats (I don't know if can confirm Willow) But Ellis had one hit up in the first half for 7 metres I was amazed 😱pen_mouth: Maybe we were attacking other side predominantly

1 hitup? man i thought he was quiet but that is outrageous. Really didnt notice him for the majority of the game.

Oh well he is human but we really do not need a replay of that effort again this year.

All stats have now been updated. Key points to note:

5 backs making over 100 metres in attack;
3 forwards making over 100 metres in attack;
Ellis and Lui missing 12 tackles between them; and
Only one Dragon forward made over 100 metres in attack.

Interesting to note that Rhino was reduced to 30 minutes of game time last night and was able to compress his usual stats over 65-70 minutes into a couple of short 15 minute bursts. Sheens had mentioned that he'd like to use Rhino off the bench next year, although I believe that was before Dwyer went down. Should be interesting to see which way he goes next year.

Ellis was targeted whenever he was near the ball but still kept running decoys like the professional he is. Great that the rest of the pigs ground away without a big imut from him

I thought Groat got better as the game went on. Seemed to get more comfortable out there.

Woods was great as well. High workrate and defensively strong

Yep - the final try was a perfect example - Ellis ran a beautiful line as a decoy - outside to in which drew the defence in and gave Lawrence extra room off that sublime Marshall pass - has to be close to try of the year.
