This blokes been a grub forever. Wife beater and now this clearly can’t keep his hands to himself.
 
May have been a bit full of himself after a few fine wines consumed while indulging the degustation menu at the local Pizza/Kebab.
 
Should’ve been thrown out of the League after the last assault, still can’t believe he got off for that. Hopefully good riddance this time.

Penrith Panthers star Brent Naden has been provisionally suspended after returning a positive test to a recreational drug after a test on the night of the grand final.
The 24-year-old has endured a bumpy road over the last month. After the Panthers’ grand final loss to the Storm he approached the club to reveal he had been suffering personal issues and he entered himself into a rehabilitation program.

He has since left the rehabilitation clinic but is still being treated as an outpatient.

The Daily Telegraph’s Phil Rothfield is reporting the recreational drug found in Naden’s system was cocaine.

The Telegraph reports Naden is one of five players who were tested on grand final night.

The NRL integrity unit have not handed down a penalty as of yet.

The club confirmed Naden’s provisional suspension on Tuesday afternoon.

“Penrith Panthers acknowledges the provisional suspension handed down to player Brent Naden after he returned a positive test for a recreational drug,” a club statement read.

“As previously reported, Brent approached the club following the 2020 NRL Grand Final to seek help with a number of personal issues. At that time he admitted to the use of a recreational drug.

“Panthers informed the NRL of Brent’s admission and with the support of the club, he commenced a voluntary rehabilitation program at a private health facility.

“Brent recently completed that program and continues to address his personal issues with the support of his family and Panthers staff.

“Working closely with Brent through this process, the club believes he has the capacity to overcome his personal issues and realise his potential.

“Panthers will continue to provide Brent and his family the support they need moving forward.

“In accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code, the club, Brent, his family and manager can make no further comment at this time.”

The Rugby League Players’ Association released the following statement on Tuesday.

“The Rugby League Players’ Association (RLPA) is aware of the provisional suspension notice for Penrith Panthers player Brent Naden under the NRL’s Anti-Doping Policy.

“The provisional suspension is in relation to a positive A-sample to a prohibited substance in a test conducted by Sports Integrity Australia on October 25.

“The RLPA will work with Brent, his management and the Penrith Panthers to provide assistance and support.

“The RLPA would also like to acknowledge the work of the Penrith Panthers and commend their approach in providing Brent with ongoing support during this time.

“This is a private and confidential process and the RLPA will not provide further comment at this time.”
