I read it at school and found it a great read, but it's tooooo many years ago to remember the characters.

Puck was the main character ...Oberon's Jester / fairy ...aka Robin Goodfellow .....do I have to educate you all with everything

This is something I am very passionate about. We are doing our young elite a major disservice. Burgess’ behaviour is a product of the indulged life he has led. The result is the fool we see before us. But not totally his fault. Sycophants like Greenberg do these bloke no favour. Burgess has been a lose cannon for years but instead of making him accountable for his actions, gutless leaders, like Greenberg, dine off his notoriety until it all falls apart. These young people need mentoring and wise counsel- that used to be the hard heads in the club who’d smash you if you got out of line. Perhaps too harsh but this current society of no discipline, no accountability and pandering to young stars is just ridiculous. Blokes like Greenberg, and others charged with leadership responsibility, should hang their heads in shame. Don’t get me started about over indulgent modern parenting! Rant over (maybe)

Agree with all that.
But as a grown adult (even more so if you are a parent) you have to be accountable for your own actions. Burgess thinks he's above reproach. Hopefully the flog gets a brutal reality check this time.

Well said mate,and I will say that the young guys that play our great game and working to become elite athletes need to be kept educated and disciplined while working through their careers..It will help prevent them becoming an entitled bullying drug abuser,I know they will be accountable for their own actions,but a great quote from Denzel Washington sums it up nicely "it all starts from the home""
