Player movements!

You would soon change your mind once Bird was in out colours. Remember Darren Senter, Craig Field, Terry Hill???? All guys who were grubby and or annoying.

I wouldn't have him for his off-field exploits.

We could sign Jack the Ripper , Osama Bin Ladin , Adolf Hitler ,Martin Bryant and Idi Amin and as long as we won a premiership I wouldn't be too concerned

I think you might get some 50/50 refs calls with that lot as well , we sure as hell wouldn't lose a penalty count that's for sure

I'd rather have both my eyes poked out with a pointy stick than have to watch Greg Bird run around in a WT jersey. Hell, I even have trouble barracking for NSW with him in the team!

Lol. Me too Flippedy. Can't stand him. A very over rated player in my opinion.

I'd rather sign a fring first grader who has moved on to epl and decided to come home at 33 than to sign a guy who is first picked in the blues origin side ..lol

Bird is the kind of rough and tumble player that I could see pulling a Jason Smith and playing til he's 37 tbh. I would be keen. He's still an Australian rep so to suggest he's even close to past it is a joke. He only turned 30 18 days ago. He's younger than Farah.

No chance of it though but he'd be a great signing for us.

Bird has had his time,to many behavioural problems clouded his talented playing ability.

Others would be far better value on and off the field. :imp: :imp: :smiling_imp:

Greg Bird is a great player….I sometime think people confuse their raqcuet ball with their rugby league

Great player, s*** person. There's a difference.

When i think of great players some of these come to mind…. Wally Lewis, Mel Meninga, Clive Churchhill, Aurthur Beetson , Darren Lockyer, Brad Fittler, Reg Gasnier etc. Bird is not and never will be a great player in my opinion. Just way overrated.

Lockyer has dropped a few levels in my opinion

He does LNG ads now .

Hey Locky , someone needs to show you an overhead photo of Gladstone Harbour pre LNG and show you a photo post LNG of Gladstone Harbour

One shows beautiful blue water one looks like the Yarra River

David Mead without a doubt. Perfect fit in any backline. Loved him at fullback this year, and after round 3 next year when Tedesco comes off injured he'd slot in beautifully for the rest of the season whilst Teddys rehab is taking place.

You're a tough marker Tigermama those players are brilliant in my book. Greg Bird while hardly likeable for his off field antics certainly has the mongrel and passion and hardhead we need for on the field though.

Next thing we will be signing 17 priests

Why Happy, you say that as if it's a bad thing  The boys can sure use some divine intervention to help them along the way. Especially with injuries

Our rehab team may actually work better with the dead than the living….

It wouldn't be a bad idea , but I meant them as our playing roster not our divine intervention

Anyway the footy gods have more say than any religious intervention
