For easy reference, I thought I'd list the heights and playing weights of the WT forwards:

**Fowards:**

Anasta - 185cm, 98kg
Bell - 190cm, 108kg
Blair - 188cm, 106kg
Buchanan - 193cm, 107kg
Farah - 179cm, 89kg
Fotuaika - 181cm, 104kg
Fulton - 186cm, 94kg
Galloway - 195cm, 112kg
Gavet - 186cm, 108kg
Groat - 190cm, 113kg
Iosefa - 178cm, 87kg
BMM - 186cm, 110kg
Naiyaravoro - 195cm, 115kg
Pettybourne- 181cm, 101kg
Seumanufagai - 189cm, 110kg
Spence - 190cm, 106kg
Sue - 182cm, 98kg
Thompson - 185cm, 103kg
Woods - 194cm, 109kg
\
\
**Backs:**

Ayshford - 190cm, 100kg
Koroibete - 180cm, 93kg
Lawrence - 187cm, 100kg
Marshall - 182cm, 93kg
Meaney - 182cm, 91kg
Miller - 182cm, 85kg
Moltzen - 185cm, 91kg
Nofoaluma - 180cm, 96kg
Reddy - 193cm, 100kg
Simona - 183cm, 92kg
Sironen - 195cm, 102kg
Tedesco - 180cm, 93kg
Tuqiri - 191cm, 106kg
Utai - 103kg

Alrighty, I took another look at the player profiles, and they've been updated, with player weights adjusted, so I can only assume they are accurate. I've also added the backs in. Looking at the squad now, most have bulked up and added some muscle, while a couple have lost weight.

Going through the list, the following players have bulked up from last year:

Blair is 2kg heavier this year;
Buchanan is 3kg heavier than last year
Fotuaika is 4kg heavier than last year
Galloway is 5kg heavier than last year
Gavet is 2kg heavier than last year (currently on the long term injured list)
Groat is 3kg heavier than last year (currently on the long term injured list)
Iosefa is about 4kg lighter than last year, so he may well be fitter (I assume so anyway)
Spence is 7kg heavier than last year
Sue is 3kg heavier than last year
Thompson is 3kg lighter than last year
Woods is 4kg heavier than last year
Koroibete is 3kg heavier than last year
Lawrence is 4kg heavier than last year
Marshall is 1kg heavier than last year
Miller is 1kg heavier than last year
Nofoaluma is 6kg heavier than last year
Reddy is 1kg heavier than last year
Sironen is 7kg heavier than last year
Tedesco is 3kg heavier than last year
Tuqiri is 2kg heavier than last year
Utai is 7kg heavier than last year
\
\
Personally now, looking at these player weights, we have a much more physically imposing side, and I assume a physically stronger one as well. How this translates onto the field, we'll find out but hopefully the Tigers are a lot more competitive in winning the ruck this season and can thump a few forward packs provided the defensive structure has stiffened up.

it has to translate mentally. There is no other way. The top coaches can do it.

Amazing….how will they stop him.....great player

It will be like trying to tackle a fridge with legs. I reckon Koroibete and Nofoaluma will be a handful also - both are very powerful young players.

It all sounds promising, the majority have bulked up….power game - correlates to what Potter said a few months back re: "We have to earn the right to play attacking football"

Ditto. I think we'll see a more direct attacking style this year, which should suit the likes of Farah and Marshall who thrive off a forward pack which rolls forward rather than sideways. Lawrence looks very sharp in some of the pre-season videos on WTV and is 100kg this year, Ayshford is 100kg, Lote and Utai are over 100kg, Tedesco and Koroibete have gotten bigger and stronger, Woods, Galloway and Blair have all added muscle…Really looking forward to the trial against the Eels.

That wasn't so hard…..now have a look around and see if you can find a tape measure.

Haha  Took a little bit of time to type, but hopefully a few members find it interesting.

Great to see they have managed to put even more size on Spence

Maybe he could be the bloke who can step up as well this season

Every year all players start the season a couple of kg heavier than usual, halfway through the season they will have all lost those extra kg because of the weekly grind. Wouldn't read into it too much that they all have a little extra meat on their bones in the pre-season,it won't mean jack once the season starts IMO.

Sirro Sr tweeted to the club that Curtis is 103kg, not 95kg as listed on his profile.

Which is relief!

That's more like it. He'll probably go around at 105 or 106kg in 2014 and will make a very handy 13.

Not sure if Sirro will make it as a lock, his attack is his strength at the moment….doesn't seem the sort of player that will make 30-40 tackles per game like Fulton does for us. Only young so has the time to alter his playing style though

Not quite right. Those weights are being compared with weights taken at the beginning of season 2012\. The players have bulked up in relation to then. As you say, they may slim a bit during the course of the season.

Correct, that's what I'm basing them off, and not all players start the year heavier than the year before. Clearly under Potter, the Tigers have made a conscious effort to bulk up.

I think youre wrong.
Maybe at the start of pre season….but theyve all been going for nearly three months now

7KG in ...some cases is NOT 'a little extra meat on their bones'

7kg seems like an enormous amount for a winger best described as "short". Is it possible he's being primed for a spell in the back row?

I was wondering about the front row with our current rate of attrition!

Maybe, but given the majority of players have put on 2kg or more in the off-season, it's clear Potter is going for a more power-oriented game this season. The only issue I see with using Utai in the backrow is that the Tigers have so many backrowers, but then again he's not exactly quick for a winger either. Bench utility may suit him best this season if he's playing at over 100kg.

He could play front row all on his pat he'd be that wide

I wouldn't sweat the utai situation. He is in the twilight of his career and most importantly has proved so many wrong (myself especially) with his extraordinary performances in th last two years.

He will don't the best he can in whatever he is asked to do.
