Nofo was always going to be targeted given the lack of football he has had, plus it was his first game in FG this season. He needed another couple of games in State Cup IMO. He'll be better for the run but he was absolutely gone by the end of the game. Galloway and Taupau were quiet and I think both should be used from the bench for impact. I'd start Ava and Sue, they're both fit and defend well and can get through that opening 20 minutes for us, then Sauce and Hulk can come on and really swing momentum our way with their impact.

A lot of the reason why we lost. Not much can be expected of others if the forwards don't lay the platform.

Woods played 68 minutes too, that's an immense performance from him.

to be honest, I see a quality cornerstone prop in the making. Hard nosed aggressive props usually come on quite early, and for the most part are poorer defenders. These hard nosed types generally need to be complimented with a a more moderated partner, in the mould of Ava.

His minutes are often short, though to me seems to have it all over Sauce for both leg speed and leg strength post contact. Sauce on the other hand owns him in the defensive workrate and quality of defensive contact, though that is to be expected as its and old heads game.

Woods has ruined our expectations for young props, he is a freak. That said I think Ava is on the right path towards a long future in the game with a more natural progression rate.
