Players you wanted to see go further....

Gray Viane, Willie Manu, Ben Black, Troy Wozniak and Stuart Flanagan.

I thought Viane and Manu were capable of forming a damaging 2nd row combination. I thought Ben Black would be the perfect man to take over from Craig Field and I was always a fan of Troy Wozniak but never cemented a spot. Flanagan was always on a hiding to nothing coming in just after Robbie Farah established himself, I thought he would cement a spot at another club like De Gois but was always on the fringes at both Canberra and Cronulla.

Matt Head has been neglected.

When he was signed to the Tigers I almost blew a load. I thought he had a phenomenal kicking game, he'd compliment Benji and Farah nicely and it'd fill the hole left by Prince.

Never eventuated, he had one good half for us against the Raiders, that was that. Sad.

You're missing his MOM performance against Souths at the SCG. I don't know what kind of issues he had off-field, but i always thought he was great for us on it. Always thought that he along with Ryan O'Hara were the two biggest victims of not being in ''the club''. Can't understand why O'Hara gets such a hard time, the guy never got a go. In the back end of 08 when he was on his way out he was one of our best players imo

Another guy i want to mention who gets unfairly treated is Willie Manu. Amongst our total rabble that was the Lamb era, he was a shining light. Was as strong as an ox. I still remember the day at C-town he scored a 50m solo try against the Roosters. The guy was dripping with potential. Its a shame he never kicked on.

All very good names. Viane was a clone of Manu. Didn't play as much FG as Willie, but looked like he had the same amount of potential. Was always a fan of Wozniak as well. I remember in his debut game for us he run down Nigel Vagana and put him into touch only 5m out from the line. Was off a scrum

I almost left out one of my all time faves John Wilson. Talk about under-rated, i reckon he'd have to go down as one of the most under-rated players ever to pull on a Wests Tigers jersey. I still believe he was 5 times the player Fitzhenry was and should have been there ahead of Fitz in 05\. So reliable

Gray Viane and in particular Willie Manu had/are having very good careers in the UK. Troy Wozniak was always very good for us, don't know what happened to him but he was always good for some special plays. I always thought Stuart Flanagan was the better of him and De Gois but alas…

Daine Laurie. All he needed to do was knuckle down and stop acting like a kid and he would have been a lifelong first grader. Has all the tools on the field to be one of the most damaging forwards in the game. Would be up there for quickest front rower of all time in my humble opinion.

He's done.
You won't see him in the NRL ever again, currently playing for Maquarie Scorps and isn't looking like an athlete at all.

I actually saw him come off the bench for the Knights NSW cup about midway through the season and he looked bigger, meaner, faster and fitter than ever? Has he gone backwards from there or something?

Skando. The fact that he never got the chance to play SOO was a disgrace.
He was the cornerstone of our pack for years yet never got a look in.

Compare that with hacks like Dean Young or Jamie Buhrer who managed to play for NSW. A joke.

Tyran Smith was always a player of unlimited potential IMO..thought he could have gone a lot further in the game

I'm one of Skandos biggest fans , but he lacked that half a yard of pace to play SOO

He wouldn't have made it to the advantage line in SOO due to the increased speed of the game unfortunately

But yeah he had every other tool to cope with rep footy

Simon Dwyer tops my list. I often think about the injury he sustained. Football is not everything and I wish him all the best in his recovery.

I went for him & Taniela due to their potential & them both being cut down by injury.Taniela was leathal in his last year & was unlucky not to finish as leading try scorer had he not missed the last month or so, with Morris bagging a double in the last round.I can still picture him hobbling up to claim Dally M winger of the year.

Craig Innes. A centre for Manly who was probably the best centre in the game when he left for rugby union after 1997\. Wasted his talent there.

He was the rugby centre in the world before he came to league, was close to the best league centre in the world after barely losing a game in 3 years and went back to be the best rugby centre in the world again…..as a kiwi rugby was always his first love. really good bloke, he was my hero for a while.
