Playing Parra into form

Parra haven't set the world on fire yet but if there is one team to play them into form it will be us, we've done it so many times in the past it isn't funny.

Early season form for both sides has been ordinary over the past couple of seasons. Both teams are coming off playing in very difficult conditions and are missing players, although I like the balance of the Tigers for this week compared to last week.

The Tigers really didn't look interested for the most part against the Roosters, and Sheens was pretty unhappy about it, as were the players. Farah looked to be pretty filthy with himself after the match and rightly so, he was ordinary. I think we'll see a much more enthusiastic Tigers side on Friday night. They've got a couple of solid forwards in Gibbs and Payten returning and they'll help stiffen up the ruck.

The Eels won't be easy, but the Tigers certainly have the team to beat them. The key for the Tigers will be the forwards. If the Tigers control the Eels pack, Moltzen and Marshall have too many options at their disposal for the Eels IMO. It's going to come down to mental attitude and execution.

Well the saving grace here is if they do beat us it was technically Manly who plyaed them back into form not us. Having said that they may get ambushed by a very sore and wounded Tiger outfit with a lot to prove. Fingers crossed.

It all comes down to defence. For 60 minutes against Manly it was very good. We bashed them. Big, hard contact nearly every time. That didn't happen against the Roosters.

We had a bruising encounter against Manly, then were beaten by the Roosters.
Parra have just had their encounter with Manly, to be beaten by us.

BTW, manly to still remain winless after losing this week to the Knights.
