X Box rules..
Timely thread, I set up my XBox Series X last night. All the pre-orders were sold out ages ago but I rang around the EB Games and JB Hifis until I found one that had units available. I literally rang them up then drove over and picked it up. I suspect it's the same for PS5, units here and there.
I have an XB1X and a PS4 Pro, the way I figure it, Sony's big sell with PS is the exclusives, but there's no rush on those. Games released on both consoles tend to run better on Xbox because of the hardware advantage and that still appears to be the case this generation.
I had my XB1X for a year before I bought the PS4P during Black Friday 2019, and by that time, all the PS4 exclusives were very cheap; I bought something like 10 games for $120 at the time. And the PS4P was $400 on sale at target. I think I'll do the same here, wait for the PS5 to cool off, see if they upgrade the console mid-gen.
So far XBSX runs fast, you can see the loading times dramatically reduced. Haven't tested many games yet, I tried SW Fallen Order, it ran very smoothly, no discernable framerate drops.
Meh..I just play Ricky Ponting Cricket and score a double century of 40 balls
