I don't think you need worry Chris, I'm pretty sure we had low expectations to start off with.

I agree CB, my expectations for 2016 are pretty low; however, deep down there is a flicker of hope - hope that I might be wrong. But after a performance like that it's hard to keep the faith.

Unforced errors, inability to get to the 6th tackle and gifting our opponents opportunities on our line.

Nothing much seems to have changed.

Nines won't mean jack in the 13 man game. The only real thing we would want to see is improved one on one tackling.

Did you see some of the misses in that 9's game.

Yeah, I wasn't inspired by it.

300k is on the line but whatever,
The 9's isn't important.

Glad you're all millionaires.

You get 110k just for turning up not really a big diff …would be nice to at least get through the Group Stage tho...like last year...

I fail to see what this has to do with not using our nines performances to judge our season proper.

People here are pretty fair.

They don't expect this team to win the comp, or even make the 8.

However they do expect improvement from players and common sense from coaches.

Taylor needs the team to show some genuine improvement this year. If he can get the idea more wins then las year and playing more common sense football that will be a step forward.

People talk about Taylor unfairly copping the blame for everything. However there is another type of supporter, the Taylor apologists with excuses left, right and centre and just saying he has a terrible side you can't blame him for poor tactics, and selections.

The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.

So far I haven't liked the look of Addo Carr. He is struggling.

Chee Kam has looked good and Griffins ability to create second phase has really caught my eye. Having a player regularly pooping the ball back is a must in my opinion.

There are more than a couple of these guys on here. When Taylor completely stuffs up its all part of the long term plan.

One things for sure, in every forum, we are spoken of as the laughing stock of the league.

Well mate, you clearly have too much time on your hands to analyse other teams' forums and come up with an assessment like that.

Is it the team who are the laughing stock or the people who post on the forum? If it's the latter, no wonder with the likes of you and magpiecol!!

JAC was awful in the first game, and first half of the second game. Had a nice run or two as the game went on. Defo has amazing speed, but interesting to see if he can translate that into being a competent first grader. Very raw.
Simona and Naiqama looked very strong, and Chee Kam and Littlejohn impressed of the new boys.

Got a feeling JAC will be a work in progress. Doesn't seem ready yet but someone with that pace is hard to ignore. Speed like that is one of the few things you can't teach - you either have it or you don't. His handling and tackling techniques can be improved. But let him improve those skills in NSW Cup.
I'd go with Hunt or Rankin in Round 1.

I remember Corey Patterson doing this a few times in the nines in 2014 and I got pretty optimistic. Boy, was I wrong.

BTW, I hope you meany POPPING it back.

Yeah either Hunt or Rankin would be the safer options to start the season. Hunt didn't embarrass himself too much in first grade last year when he played on the wing and he has a bit of speed. If Rankin has been performing well at training though he might be worth a shot over Hunt as his goal-kicking is decent, and that shouldn't be under-valued.

The trouble with you two is you want results yesterday and if JT can't deliver them overnight you tell us he stuffed up,if Wayne Bennett did it that way you would be cheering….get behind JT and support him,let him do his job and field a competitive team for 2016,he had a lot of players and cap to sort out last year and all you guys want is to bag him, some on here did the same with Potter and he is a decent coach and person with his hands tied..JT has everything he wants, let's see what he does with his team this year before you reckon he stuffs up....ffs..

^^^
It has nothing at all to do with what you are stating. I'll try and make it real simple for you. I want the Tigers to win games. That is it. I am 100% behind JT so long as he is helping us win games.

I don't like hearing the dribble brought up about how JT's masterplan means we have to lose 10 games in a row or whatever it is.

I wanted Potter to stay and was very critical of his treatment so you have your facts wrong there.

I have not called for Taylor to be sacked. However i have not been as optimistic with him as i was with Potter.

However he does deserve this 2nd season to try and prove himself.

Eddie,my reference to Potter was,as soon as new coach comes in and doesn't get results straight away, some people critises them before they have a chance to do their job completely..JT tried to implement Taylor ball as a defensive structure so the younger ones have an idea of the NRL defense, people hated it but couldn't see what JT was trying to teach them,Potter had his hands tied with what he could do and as soon as the RB and Tallis crap came out that he couldn't coach, everyone jumped on the bandwagon that didn't want Potter…this is what happens, let's hope he gets the team winning and things may change....
