Poor Attitude - Yes you on the forum

I cannot believe how poor some peoples attitude is regarding the tigers, coach, and recruitment.
Its round 2 and we have won one and lost one.
We won in great come back fashion in round 1 and were out played last week.
Fulton and Gibbs were late withdrawals, Ryan was out, TNT is injured as is Payton and Tame. Lui was injured during the match and Flanagan played well in his first full match in boiling conditions and Lote will also get better.
How about we give a little positive comments and encouragement. Big crowds bring teams home.
I think we have a great team, great future and when we click we will be a massive force.
Fifita made a great debut and will only get better.
I for one and looking forward to a good season and will always support my team
Go the Mighty Tigers - I have faith.
Keep whinging go and join Parra or Manly

When you concede 40 points in 40 minutes after leading 12-0 I think people have a right to be upset. Yes it's early days but it was a pathetic effort.

Not a bad post. You can't blame some people for being concerned but it's true that some people go to far knocking the players, coaches, doctor, officials, trainers. That's why you have seen people on the forum mock those people that go to far. I knock some of those people too in my videos that I make. Booing you own players at the game when the team sheet is read out before the game is just stupid. Some people need to relax and calm down. Supporting your team is meant to be fun isn't it???

Rd 6 -we were beaten 44-20 in 2005 by Cowboys (They scored 5 tries in the first half after we were up 6 nil) and I am sure people were saying "thats pathetic" season is over,
Rd 15 - 40-22 by Broncos
Rd 26 (just before finals) we were beaten by the Panthers 38-22

I just dont think it's panic stations

Totally agree with ya. Everyone on here expects to win every single game we take to the field… Yes it was a bloody terrible performance... but when you have 2 guys withdrawn b4 kickoff... Ellis and Lui carrying injuries for the game... its quite hard. We shall see how everyone reacts when they get their wish with Molts going to halfback cause of the Lui injury... see if he performs?!?

its just boiling over from the last 4 years…. And all you whingers complaining about us who have the right to say what we think/feel about out club think yous have the right to tell us we are not supporters/fans and to follow someone else. Only if you knew how much some of us follow this club of ours. Ive followed them to every stadium they have played at for many years, no im not a supporter. pfft sick of hearing all you clowns, maybe yous can follow sheens when he is shown the door

I don't want to win every single game I just want to actually play the finals, which the coach has only taken us to once in 7 years here, and we are all sick of seeing the same errors and the same wrong players out of position team selections

I'd like to see the Tigers put in a consistently good effort each week. That's what the team requires if they are to make the finals this year. What we saw yesterday was team which came out full of running for the first 20 minutes and once they made a couple of mistakes, heads dropped, the energy disappeared and the defence fell apart as a result. It's frustrating watching the team race in 4 tries in the final 20 minutes because 32 points should win you a game most weeks.

Unlike some people though, I will never boo a player or one of the WT staff. The team and staff will be disappointed at the loss, they're paid to play football and they want to play finals football as much as we want them too. Booing your own never solved a problem.

Fair point REHAB…..of course everyone has a right to say what they want within reason...there are very passionate supporters on here that all the want to do is Rag on Sheens the rest of the Coaching staff and the club itself.....

One question thought....Does it make people feel better or worse at the end of the Day?

Sure be critical when it's warrented....but why the need to slag on Sheens and the Club....not saying you are 1 of them....

I mean is it going to change the situation......Why not look for the positives in our great Club...which I think is what the original poster was trying to get at....

People have a right to be 'frustrated' mate.

You need to consider that it's been four years of this "clocking off" when not in possesion / giving up easy tries.

Considering the entire off season wa supposedly geared towards making sure this stuff didn't happen in 2010….............it's a legit concern that we've again got the worst defensive record in the NRL (albeit after just two rounds) Yesterday basically screamed "nothing's changed" in terms of attitude in defense. Hopefully it was a one off.

Every year we have one or two bad game in the first 6 weeks:

2003 -
Round 3 V Bulldogs
38-6

2004 -
Round 5 V Dragons
39-10

2005 -
Round 6 V Cowboys
44-20

2006 -
Round 2 V Bulldogs
47-12

2007 -
Started with 4 straight losses but 3 of them were 2 points of less, one was 11 points, then had 6 wins in a row

2008 -
Round 3 V Bulldogs
32-12

2009 -
Round 2 V Cowboys
42-14
Round 4 V Penrith
42-22

It seems to happen every year where we get a bad game in the early stages … it happens ... once the first few weeks are over and the combinations start to gel etc im sure we'll see the team be more competitive.

It's early stages so far, the glass is half full.

I was dissapointed in our mid game slump, but was relieved to see us come back in the last 25 minutes and rack up some quality points,a little luck on our side and we pull off a big win.I watched the Manly-Parra game and same again Manly had Parra on the ropes, only to go down in the second half. The Parra game is also going to be a tough one with Fuifui Moimoi and Jarrad Hanes hitting top form.Still we have the talent to win.

I agree, just get to the finals, 😛ray: is a massive bonus, and then see what happens from there. :wahoo:

I wanna slag the Ball boys.

They really need to pick their game up because quite frankly the service they are giving to the players is below NRL standard. Why do the Storm, Parra, Saints and the Bulldogs have such top quality ball boys year after year and we dont? Why? I'll tell you why !!

Because the Fonz picks the Ballboys as well !!!! You heard it here first people !!!

I also want to blame the 'Doubles on the main game' ticket sellers, they are way too negative as well as they are hoping the opposition scores a try,
The Greeks in the Canteen for not having 'Low GI' bread rolls,
The girl at the front desk,
The old guy that is about 500 years old who works at the Mary Street entrance,
The dressing room attendant that picks the tape up off the floor,
The curator for cutting the grass too long which does not suit our attacking style
I want to blame global warming for making the weather too hot when we play,
I want to blame the Roman Catholics for introducing the Gregorian Calender and only have 7 days in a week which is too much of a 'short turn around' for our players to back up . . .
I want to blame Wests and Balmain for their smallish annual grants to the WT which the Fonz says 'puts us behind the 8 ball,

deadset, EXCUSES EXCUSES EXCUSES !!!

**Play the players in their normal positions. Play the form players and our best players.\
\
We will win more than what we will lose.**

**Its not rocket science**

Form players is one thing, but after 4 years of consistently leaking too many points (yes last year was better) the forum has a right to gripe about last weeks poor effort. It is justified fear. When will Tigers be known as a strong defensive side? Or a side with a dominant pack? I am still excited about this year, but we still have an overall weak forward pack and our defence is lackluster.

Wow…..well said.....one of your best.....

Tigers lack defence

IF THE game was all about attack, Wests Tigers would just about win the comp.

But until they find the key to knowing how to defend their errors, they might not have the consistency to make the playoffs.

When they have the football and the passes stick, they are super to watch just like they were at times yesterday.

But defence wins the big games and that's all about attitude and commitment when you don't have the footy. That's where the question marks are with the Tigers.
