Poor choice from the club?

Next week for the Broncos game, the club has scheduled the NSW Cup match to start at 1:10pm, then show the first game from 2000 against the Broncos on the big screen after that while a junior league clinic takes place on the field. NYC will then kick off at 5:15, NRL at 7:30.

I've loved the few opportunities this year to watch all three grades on one day. Instead of getting there early to watch all three, I'll now wait until NYC kick off.

What do you think?

Edit: Apparently it's due to Fox Sports choosing to broadcast the game and want it at that time. Once again the broadcasters rule the game.

I think he is saying that Fox Sports are broad casting NSW cup and want it at that time. In reality given bugger all people would be thier anyway for the NSW cup then this really isn't an issue. The broard casters don't run the game but if clubs want the money that comes from it then they have a choice money or slightly different timed 3rd tier game

Fox are showing NYC from Gold Coast at 3:30 then their NRL game at 5:30\. Basically the schedule is:

1:15 NSW cup
3:15 NYC Titans V Warriors
5:30 NRL Titans V Warriors
7:30 NRL Tigers v Broncos

It's completely up to Fox Sports, the draw made to suit the broadcasters. This reply from NSWRL

"there's a long-winded explanation to this but basically with Fox covering NYC & NRL up on the Gold Coast at 3pm & 5.30pm to get #VBNSWCup covered this match needs to kick off at 1pm to dove tail coverage up north"

The outline looks like this:

Round 11 at Campbelltown:
1:10pm – #VBNSWCup vs. Knights
2:50pm – Replay of R1, 2000 vs. Broncos
5:15pm – #NYCwstbri
7:30pm – #NRLwstbri

As I raised on Twitter, big screen at Campbelltown is hardly big and it's horrid to attempt to watch anything on, trying to watch the 2000 match will be next to impossible.

When you pay a billion dollars for the broadcasting rights then we will let you choose the schedule…...

I initially thought it was the club's decision but then found out it was due to Fox's decision. My bad.

The club never had any say, power never has been with the clubs. It's all up to the broadcasters who set the draw times.
