Possible long term affects of Tedesco's injuries?

This is my biggest concern with all the injuries he's picking up. I know there's a good chance he could get over them seeing as how he's only young, just like Benji did, but it would be a shame if it affected him long term. Maybe its because of the affect Lawrence's injury has had on him, then throw in Dwyer and Tuiaki. Granted the last 2 had their career's ended, therefore not being the best example, but with Lawrence now being a shell, it would be sad if injury struck another gun down and affected him long term. I'm mainly worried about what affect all these injuries will have on his pace.

You think he can overcome the setbacks and still see more of his form from the start of the yr?

It worries me to think of him having mindset of wanting to save himself. Not going up as hard, passing earlier, defending with injury on the mind.

It's hard to say. He's only young so theoretically he could get back to his best, but there may be an issue there psychologically.

It was a pretty horrific injury and I know that I'd be a bit hesitant if it happened to me.

It will only play on his mind short term after he makes his comeback. Just like if it happened to me or you, initially you'd be hesitant, but once in full swing the fear fades away.

Yeah, but physically is my concern. The affect that the injuries might have on his speed.

Mate I was just about to repost, forgetting to address the mobility.
Idk, we can only hope, but it did seem to me that he had lost none of his speed prior to his last comeback.

Nah mate, take Slater and Dugan as an example, they had plenty of setbacks but as they grow their body gets stronger.

Was his debut the first time he had knee injuries?

If so, seems like that was the catalyst for a very bad run in such a short couple of years. As he gets older it will surely affect his game. While I'm no elite athlete, Ive had my share of recos, last one over 15 years ago. And Id be lying if I said I didnt favour the knee to this day.

physios and exercise sports scientists constantly monitor players to make sure they dont favour one leg over the other when they train or get into other bad habits.

what no one can control is the integrity of the structures around the knee. we can strengthen the muscles all we want, but if the ligaments are too loose- you cant do anything about it.

once you do your acl, you are more likely to do it again. just like moltzen, tedesco is likely to do his acl again as well
