AJ Kepoa was absolutely awful before he got injured. Let’s hope Gildart is better than that. Ogden may well be better than both of them as may Hoffman despite what some may think

He was on in the centre it's he's preferred position

Doueihi has to be in the halves. I know he's not perfect but he is our best attacking weapon and will continue to develop when he plays there, he also struggles defensively at centre

Really could use another strike player in the backline and some better middle forwards. I'm comfortable with our second row stocks for next year with the emergence of Tuilagi and Blore

A gun centre who could genuinely create tries would be amazing. Hopefully Hastings makes a good halfback too although they won't drop Brooks no matter what.

i see hastings as our 14, ball playing lock

Yeah that's an option too, with the current rules you can literally just play utilities as a lock and get away with it

Definitely. Hastings has to be 14, or Lock, as he is our utility player, much like Mbye. Play him Hooker last 20 minutes to replace Liddle.

Six Spots Remaining

I think two of those spots are to be taken up by development players - Kei and Hoffman. Leaves only 4 spots - but not 100% sure . There are a few guys on here who know how this works.

So you are basing that on one half of footy. Good luck with that. Hope you are right

So play Gildart instead?
Who's struggled in Super league over the years?

Gildart will not own a first grade centre spot in Round 1, 2022. If he does, we are in trouble....again.

💯

Facts.

He was playing out of position. He was playing his best the night he got injured, in the centres. Gildart is a total non factor for round 1. Would be last in the pecking order. As for Hoffman, if he doesn’t make an impression in 2022, he has no future.

Hoffman has potential but its nit so much the attacking potential people get excited about but the defensive potential we actually need. 92% tackle efficiency in nsw cup in the centres. That is signifcantly above what any of our centres produce in any grade. If he can reproduce that defence in the centres in nrl he would be one of the best defensive centres in the game. We have brought him through 2 yrs of development contracts and signed him for the next 2 yrs in nrl squad so it seems the coaches can see that potential too.

I watch most of the wigan games i see alot in gildart there's alot there that madge can get out of him now whether or not that happens is another story but id rather gildart than Asu 'can't catch' Kepoa And garner off to manly would give blore that 12 spot i agree with that move 100%

AJ Gildart

I laugh every time I see someone write about Kepoa as one of our starting centres.
Based on what? Half a good game in the centres preceeded by multiple performances on the wing that wouldn't get him a run in Ron Massey Cup?

Gildart's an International.

An ENGLISH international. The country that lost to PNG the last time they played each other

The country that lost 6-0 to Australia in the world cup final.

I actually have high hopes for AJ at centre in 2022. Reckon its where we will see his best play...

I can recollect a time when England where a decent country and gave you stiff opposition but that was almost 50 years ago. However since then the amount of decent players coming from there seems to decline every year.I hope i am wrong but on what i have seen from him both at club and international level he is useless in defence and needs someone to put him in a hole.As a Tiger supporter i have enjoyed many great English players playing for the club i support,Dave Bolton being the first and all the way through to Hanley.
As i said i will be delighted to be proven wrong but Gildart has reggies written all over him

The tigers should bring in a no top 8 no pay system
I guarantee we will finish minor premiers & win the comp next season

are we talking to Ethan Bullemor considering it looks like he's weighing up his options? would love him at the club.

Not at this stage,he is under contract but 2 clubs have been given permission to negotiate & he is willing to delay his studies. Tuipolotu is surplus to Manly’s needs & his Manager is exploring his options. Metcalfe is on a development contract at the Sharks & is yet to lock in a deal for next year.

How you can look at players like Bateman, Hodgson, Ellis etc and think English players don't do well over here is beyond me. Even Farnworth has been the Broncos best back this year
