Predictions to round 16 ...

I took a look at our draw to round 16 against St George

(note it includes two byes).

Here are the games …

Raiders (away) – a should win
Cowboys (away) – as above, although no given with Thurston in Townsville
Dogs (SFS) – on the dogs form so far, a should win
Panthers (Away) – I think the Panthers will come good before this and we failed against them last year, a tough game
Roosters (Home, Camp) – Revenge, a win
Bye
Rabbits (SCG) – good test for our fowards, but on the bunnies form, a should win
Knights (Away) – a should win but no given
Warriors (Home, Leich) – should be in the bag, but they killed the broncs tonight
Dogs (ANZ) -as above
Bye
Raiders (Home, Camp) – should be in the bag

I think we get 7-8 wins out of this. Am I way to optimistic? Even with 7 wins, after round 16 we are on 22 points with 10 rounds to go ... the back half looks a little more challenging but with even 5 wins in the last 10 we are there at the end of season. Pie in the sky stuff I know – but its raining in Fiji at the moment ...

Although I agree with your predictions I hope the posting of your thoughts do not put a death wish on us and propose this topic should be closed immediately!

I hope the players do not think its going to be easy.
otherwise will end up on wrong side of scoreline.
expectation is hard too live up too.
I know it sounds boring, but one game/ win at a time.
it all depends on footy injury gods, if they smile on wests-tigers, who knows what can happen. :wahoo:

Raiders (away) – win
Cowboys (away) – win
Dogs (SFS) – 50/50
Panthers (Away) – 50/50
Roosters (Home, Camp) – 50/50
Bye
Rabbits (SCG) – win
Knights (Away) – win
Warriors (Home, Leich) – 50/50
Dogs (ANZ) - 50/50
Bye
Raiders (Home, Camp) – win

Canberra are a very tough task I think.

The Titans got them because they are one thing we are not. PATIENT IN ATTACK. The defensive effort by the Raiders in the 1st half was gargantuan. Hopefully it took petrol from their tank though

2010…back to back losses unacceptable....no excusses....

If they play like they did against Parra we could win all of them ...they play like they did against the Rorters ...we could lose them all....consistancy...

The only 2 clubs from all the games I've watched this season that have it are the Storm and the Dragons....

Raiders will be tough to beat....I'm more intersted to see if the take the same attitude on the field as they did against Parra...

2009 they did not....I'm confident 2010 is different...

One game at a time will do me. It is just too hard to predict. Look at the Roosters game last week. We look ordinary and within 5 days play all over last years grand finalist while the Roosters have 60 put on them. Thinks just change week to week so every competition point we can get is vital. Getting two points in Canberra will be a massive achievement but we have the team capable of doing it.

Any team can beat any team in this comp. Its hard enough predicting what is going to happen next week but three months down the track is pure fantasy. Injuries, rep games, a crucial bad call or even suspension could bring us undone.

Week by week and enjoy the ride and pray Benji keeps healthy along with 16 of his mates

I'll go one further - i predict us to make the semi's. There was someting special in the way we beat parra the other night - we dont usually win in that fashion. It goes to show we were too cocky against the roosters - the wrong attitude. yes, this year will be different. My question is can we match or even beat our record number of wins which i think is 8?
