Pride back in the jersey

on display against Manly. Considering who we were playing, and where, a dubious referee display, the team left nothing in the tank today, so well done to the boys!
I think I am starting to see something building. Results, with efforts like today, will slowly follow, as the team improves with every match. Not worried about missing out on the finals, (miracle if we do!), but absolutely thrilled with the effort, the determination and restoring the faith.
PS - Shane Flanagan must be a huge fan, he couldn't sing our praise high enough in his commentary.

Onwards and upwards, Tigers.

I agree 100%. If we keep trying like that with players slowly coming back we will win a few games this year.
Flanno is an ex Magpie so maybe he is a fan??

Effort has been good the last month
The pack has been good
Our 1-6 is still shit house
And the orange jersey sucks lol

There are some positives in the backs as well. To'a looks like good. I thought Kepaoa played well. Gildart showed he can score a try. Nofo and Mauler were both effectively out. Peachey showed something as well.

Brooks and Hastings were decent as well.

They need to do better but if we had some luck today we could have won.

To’a is a keeper .. keep him at centre
Gildart needs deporting asap
Kepeoa went ok considering it’s his 2nd game back but still has poor hands ..
Brooks’s is just dumb .. 16 tackles and missed 8
Punt him

i still think Flanno would be better for us than Maj , we just can’t get wins and our attack is still poor , we had plenty of ball down close to there try line but just kept fumbling around , and yes plenty will disagree but I’m just not sure what we can do to improve with out major changes

Would Flanno have made a difference after 5 mins when one of your best wingers is taken out and later your impact prop is taken out, both with HIA and dont come back...
Sometimes you have to improvise to make up the numbers...everything you trained for all went out the window after we lost them...the team showed guts and determination to hang in there and dont forget nearly half the NRL side was on the sideline yesterday..
So in my opinion Flanno wouldnt have made one bit of difference and I prefer to stick with Madge he is getting this team playing for each other and the jumper....

Kepeoa was useless but noone to replace him.
To'a was great most of the time, got a bit gassed playing a full game at the back.
If Laurie pisses off as rumoured then To'a is the man to play there imo.

Madge.has gone soft since the doco.
Needs to beat the living shit out of a few of them.
Why fullbacks let the ball bounce does my head in

Yeah I noticed we have a friend in media/commentary, flanno has had his best manners with us.

I wish we'd just make the move

I didn't fully watch it but it makes me sick Ben turbo scored two tries. Who's fault was that.?

Manly had heaps of injuries too.

This is the first loss that didn't get me down this season. Very brave, no troops, no luck, crap refs. A lot of pride shown. Asked for effort years ago, really seen in now for a full month.

Honestly thought we were too pumped up at the beginning, we should have taken the 2 after keeping them out for ages, but I think Hastings wanted to stick it to Manly. We didn't score that set and then a few minutes later deflated after the obstruction call. Just need to be a bit calmer across the 80 and desperately need at least 2 outside backs to stay on the field.

100 percent

AJ is a centre. Always looks more dangerous when he has a support player with him. Surprisingly skilful showing the ball and passing. Evident in his set up for Garner.

Think once we have our wingers back he will go to centre.

Agree on the effort thoughts of the thread. A lot to take out of yesterday's game.

The two dropped balls by Tuilagi and Toa were huge. At least Toa tried his heart out so I can forgive him. He looks very promising.

Yeah keep toa at centre or wing.

We need another FB option to cover Laurie.

If no one external comes in I thought junior Tupou did ok at state cup. Has a nice pass on him.
