Pride back in the jersey

Poor cap management ,poor recruiting, poor coaches and a very poor culture for years...
I can see what Madge is doing and you see it in the players attitude,we will come good...hang in there mate, its not all that bad....
You can tell we have had a shift on emphasis on younger players pulling us out of this hole.. I think keeping the core of younger players together like Stef, Laurie, Doueihi, Hastings etc is key. Just a shame we are losing Luciano

for me, this year hasn't been about results, it's been about effort and attitude and seeing improvement across the roster. since the Parramatta game I've seen all three.

if we had a bit more luck with injuries and hadn't been dudded by the referees in four games this year we'd be in the 8. Papali'i and Koroisau coming across next year is going to take this team to another level. we are going to be a force next year, mark my words.

Madge has basically been told to reverse the way he wanted to coach from last year to this year. I think we have to cut the cord we will know by end of season.

on display against Manly. Considering who we were playing, and where, a dubious referee display, the team left nothing in the tank today, so well done to the boys!
I think I am starting to see something building. Results, with efforts like today, will slowly follow, as the team improves with every match. Not worried about missing out on the finals, (miracle if we do!), but absolutely thrilled with the effort, the determination and restoring the faith.
PS - Shane Flanagan must be a huge fan, he couldn't sing our praise high enough in his commentary.

Onwards and upwards, Tigers.

We’ll make the semis this year
We’re not even half way through the season
All it takes is a couple of wins & whamo your close to or in the 8
We’re playing good footy atm for the whole 80 & not giving up
We laid the foundation we just gotta build on it
With troops coming back over the next few weeks & a reasonable draw we will rise up the ladder
In 2005 we started our run in round 16 winning 8 in a row (up until rd16 we only had 6 wins )
We even lost the last 2 rounds & still bounced back to win the comp

Btw that year we also lost rd9 to manly in a similar score line (34-26)
Are you thinking what I’m thinking 😉🏆

We are definitely improving and showing much more grit than in previous seasons. The injuries in the backs have caused havoc but the team keep coming. They are not getting the wins but at least they are having a dig. Hastings attitude seems to have rubbed off on a few

Yeah keep toa at centre or wing.

We need another FB option to cover Laurie.

If no one external comes in I thought junior Tupou did ok at state cup. Has a nice pass on him.

Seems like an angry young human have you seen him in the line up announcements on the official page.

-Really missed Nofa.
-Garner was amazing.
-Hastings looking solid.
-Toa needs time but he seems a capable outside back.

-Forwards too dumb. Amateur hour out there on Saturday.
-Didn’t take Brooksy long to revert to his crapness.
-Gildart poo.
-Kepoa and that sideline defence will lose us games single-handedly.
-Twal makes running metres but becoming the biggest plodder since Buchanan. He should be used as a decoy cos if he touches the ball he is momentum killer #1.
-Simpkin ok but a few dumb options taken.

-Refereeing : IMO no ref can be that bad. Must have had an ulterior motive.

I can't believe this place is not blowing-up over the officiating. Team is playing with passion and results should follow but yesterday there was no way we could be competitive. Every time we looked like getting in front or catching-up ... We have had some horrific calls this year but yesterday was another level.

I just finished watching a replay of the game. How was Peachy's try disallowed? Add that to the first disallowed try and things could have been different. Yes, there were bad mistakes, but they never gave up. In saying that we are still 2-7. We just have to put a few wins together in close succession so they players can see reward for the enormous work they have put in lately. Another couple of losses in a row.......the belief may falter and heads may drop. I think this week's game against the Cowboys is crucial.

i still think Flanno would be better for us than Maj , we just can’t get wins and our attack is still poor , we had plenty of ball down close to there try line but just kept fumbling around , and yes plenty will disagree but I’m just not sure what we can do to improve with out major changes
Getting our first choice backline on the field will help. Not selecting Gildart will also mean we don’t have to chase so many points.

I'm glad they're having more of a go but I'm not gonna be proud of them for it... it's the absolute bare minimum of their job to have a crack.

We conceded some very soft tries and literally dropped the footy off the kickoff and conceded a try two seconds later with six defenders tackling the bloke.
Baby steps mate. Totally get your point of view though but with the squad we have I’m happy to see improvement and consistency, starting with effort. If we can get that every week irrespective of who we trot out then I think we can start building from there with some more quality. Then more wins become an expectation.

I think beating the Cowboys will be a bigger result than our defeat of Parra and Souths. As good as those two teams are, neither were in stellar form. Cows are playing good, tough footy.
Big effort required this week.

I think the Cows will see this as a danger game. Coming up against a team who have lost the past two weeks but haven't been playing poorly either.

I am predicting a close contest.
