Qld to retire Beetson's jersey for game 100

The number 11 Jersey that Arthur Beetson wore for the maiden SOO game will be retired for game 100

Great honour for the great man

Hopefully the Qlders can inspire themselves for Game 1 and repay the "Godfather of SOO" with another win

Sorry to *BUMP* this thread but…

I don't like that queensland are retiring the number 11 jersey. So the starting second rower is going to be wearing number 14 for the rest of time? There's something cool about seeing the numbers 1-13 on each of the players backs at kickoff. And where does it stop? Are we gonna retire other jerseys until one day the numbers on our back are as random as a lottery draw?
There's plenty of other ways to honor a legend... Statue, setting up a foundation, naming a ground after them etc

What does everyone else think? Anyone agree with me or is it a non issue in your eyes?
