Anyone who has kids or contacts in the 17-21 age bracket in particular need to keep a close eye on them. Missing out on so many rites of passage {travel , schoolies, planning careers etc) during some of the most care free years of their lives must be having demoralising effect on many of them.

Got a son who is turning 19 next month and it breaks my heart that he is missing all the things that I was able to do when I was his age.

Not having a great R U OK Day, 10:20 PM and I'm still working on a Preso to save 20% of my department spend.

I suggest the Feds give a financial boost to this age group possibly tied to vaccination if the country opens up. They have blown so much on some companies scamming Job Keeper. Get serious about retrieving and redistribute to the young people. Sports Rorts, Parking lot scandal, $500 million refurb of perfectly good War Memorial -list could go on . The kids deserve it and it would be smart politics as well . Buying votes but that is hardly a new tactic.
