Was posting this in the worst ever team thread and realised I'd started talking about our best ever.

I think our forwards have usually been ok as individual players. Our backs have been terrifying (for us, not the opposition) over the years.

For example, Fitzy would have to be in our top few wingers ever. He is the most divisive player ever on the forum based on game day performance (rather than off field stuff like Farah). I only have Taniela, Patty, Lote and JAC ahead of him. He is more or less equal with Nofa, Utai and a few others.

I think centre is even worse, and we've probably had 2 good fullbacks and 3 good halves.

Benji and Robbie have played for most of our history, but the other spine positions and outside backs have really been terrible.

What are people's top few in any position? BJ is probably our best ever centre and he hasn't played for us yet😢

Prince, Lui and Brooks in that order.

Teddy and Hodgo the only good fullbacks.

Whats, Lawrence the only two centres I'd take over current options.

I think this isn't just our current achilles heel, it is probably something baked in since the Balmain and Magpie days.

Simona was on the verge of stardom. Lawrence one of our best. Lui was on the verge of being a star and ymthe obligatory homesickness. JAC is a star and it was obvious he would be accept to WTs. Korobeite another star and the superstar Tuiaki. Brooks is one of the best hardbacks in the NRL

I think we have struggled in the backs ever since Lawrence dislocated his hip. We haven’t had the strike power In that position again until now. Can’t wait and if Nofo plays outside BJ I expect Nofo to be the leading try scorer in the NRL.

I think our biggest question mark is fullback. Corey tried hard but wasn't star quality and Adam is still unproven. Keen to see how it works out! Our centres are good. Wingers quite decent.

I am afraid Taniela Tuiaki would have eaten both JAC and Korobete when they played for us. If only he could have played on.....

There is two chains of thought. There is who are the players who have performed best for the Tigers in there positions, and then there is who is the best players to ever play for the Tigers.

Best Backline considering performances for the tigers:

1. Hodgson
2. Richards
3. Whatuira
4. Lawrence

6. Marshall
7. Prince

Best ever players to play for the Tigers:

1. Tedesco
2. Josh Addo Carr
3. BJ Leuilua
4. Lawrence
5. Richards
6. Marshall
7. Prince

Wing is the toughest position. JACC, Tuiaki, Richards and Koroibete are all exceptional and could be debated.
