Right, cant say ive watched to many games that have angered me as much as tonights

Firstly, Benji needs to piss off his little grubber kick and return it to being one of his trick plays like it used to be when it actually worked, hes put in several in the last 2 games when weve been in attacking positions and its only really been the efforts of Beau that have made them successfull rather than the actuall quality of the kick.

Seondly, Benji needs to start running the ball more. I dont mean just taking a random hit up, i mean when we spin it wide instead of passing to Lawerence every time (to late to give Chris much room to do anything aswell might i add) which the opposition now expects, i would love to see him throw a big dummy and bring back the step that made him famous.

Thirdly, Groat needs to go to the bench and stay as an impact player and sheensy needs to promote a prop with a bit of starch like Bell or Moors, preferably Bell cause of his experience. Now dont get me wrong, im a fan of Groat and i think he has a bright future, but quite frankly his ruck defence on the goal line tonight was woeful, you could argue it was the reason we lost, because if he makes 2 tackles that should have been made, we go into half time probably 12-6 down and well and truely in the game.

Lastly, Tom Humble needs to get involved more in attack. We played our best footy last year when Moltz was regularly injecting himself into the backline running holes for Benji, and seeing as it doesnt look like Sheensy is going to put Moltzen back to FB, Humble needs to step up and start playing how the modern day fullback is supposed to.

Thankyou fellow forrum members for allowing me to get rid of a large amount of anger that wasnt quite let out by throwing pillows and yelling at the TV

Benji played like he was concussed tonight and this seemed to highlight the fact that at the moment we are a one man attacking option. If he's not on we have nothing. Couple that with a woeful defensive effort and …..........

The way I saw it…

Referees 18, Tigers 12, St George 18

Nearly all the first half tries come off penalties. Refs were way off the mark, especially in first half. One penalty against Blair, which shouldnt have been given. Two swinging arms into the heads of Ryan and Marshall were deemed ok.

Second half penalty against RYan fr not being square of the mark? Serious?? He was 5 degreess of square!!

Although, you can say good teams would have defended tries from being scored, even if refs were biased.

Let's talk aout some players shall we?

Woods - some of you rate him highly. I don't. Ill-disciplined. Won't learn. Last year he was forgiven because of inexperience. This year, he hasn't changed. Still gives away penalties at the worst times. Tonight, it was the minute before half time, which led to the try. That was the last tackle. He did the same in the trial match against the Chooks in the final few minutes.

Lawrence - where are you?? Doesn't seem like an Aust rep at the moment. Doubt will make origin team

Farah - captain courageous. Didn't expect him to chip kick, but tried it. Something Benji used to do , which brings me to ...

Benji - old Benji doesnt exist anymore. Saw glimpses of him take on the line in the final 5 mins of the match, it was exciting, even if it was the one run. Maybe he is getting old and doesn't want to replicate his explosiveness anymore

Humble - needs to backup more as fullback, like Moltzen used to last year

Reddy - last week threw the ball and lost it near the final mins.....forgiven because that was necessary. But tonight, on the Tigers short kickoff and regain, why do you need to keep it alive on the 1st tackle in the St George 30??

Blair - hmmm....need much more impact to be an impact player

Team as a whole looks disorganised. Defensively, I said before, probably in the bottom 3 teams. Maybe even the worst team. Still cant fathom how Morris could dish off that ball for the try when there were 3 tigers on him? Really? And you guys keep basing Utai....

We really need Ellis and Galloway, not Groat and Woods - they still to young and inexperienced, on the bench, yes.

Suddenly, even Mason is looking good in a Tigers jersey. Without Ellis, Galloway, Utai all returning,I will be tipping against my own team for the next week weeks.

Just regarding Humble putting himself into the attack more often, I was at the game and from what I saw Humble was trailing on Marshall's inside but was only every dummied to.

I'm not sure if it looked different on tv, but that's how I saw it.
