Yeah and we beat them convincingly at home too! Just a few short weeks ago.
I believe the Raiders player bashing the ground and carrying on contributed to API’s punishment. In the modern game if you get hurt you’d be silly not to milk it for all it’s worth.

Even my Manly supporting buddies were bemused by the referring..about a dozen 50 50 calls that went their way

And in the var was.. Ashley Klein..a totally biased disgrace to the NRL
Having said that..i thoght Manly were offside all game,and tiotally suffocated us
But this is not the first week weve been in this position...need to understand why we are almost always hammered by the refs..its not just one or two
We have a discipline problem that maybe our on field captain needs to manage

Our team is playing like strangers!! Our defence is woeful, I know we are missing a lot of our top 17 , but there is not much intent in our D!!
And it’s turning the refs into characters and inflating their egos.
The game is better when refs are invisible. e.g. when they let the game flow in SOO.

The rise of CTE and lower leg injuries has brought about a lot of changes to this game. In the future, when more is understood about head injuries, it will only get worse.
I think that’s the root cause mate. Astounds me that other brutal sports don’t seem to be so reactionary.
I know NFL have made lots of changes also.

Helps when you have 67% possession.
Flip it to them having 33% possession and they wouldnt look anywhere near as impressive.
Broncos have been officiated out of this one.

It’s the way she goes.
When you are on the back foot and fatigued, your technique and timing drop, you start looking for shortcuts and/or start getting a bit dirty to force possession change over. It’s been happening for 100+ years.
These days with the extra eyes on you the discipline needs to be excellent. At the speed the game has eveloved to, that is impossible.
