Struggle to watch games these days, mainly because the referee now controls the possession flow and the team that has even a small advantage of possession wins. When a team has 10% or more possession than the other teams, you than get blow outs.

Also there is just not enough talent to spread around all franchises and what talent there is tends to be spread over a few clubs. In saying the above the Cowboys have plenty of good footballers on their roster, so I was surprised to see the flogging.

Next few years could see some really ugly score lines but I think PVL will be telling Anersley to keep the blow down by having a chat to the refs.

Anyway I have nearly got myself off my NRL addiction and other than this forum spend very little time watching and losing sleep over the game

I agree, I didn't watch the game last night, because I'm over it.

I was shocked to see the score this morning. It's no longer the game that once excited me.
 
Wonder how PVL is feeling about asking us to go to Vegas , I can’t imagine what feed back you would get if we go and get flogged by 50 , it’s on the cards the way we are at present , unless we turn it around from this weekend and get a few wins we are in trouble and to top it off we have players leaving - Toa , Geyer , Kit L , Luke L , Solo , poss Hunt , poss Bunty , poss Mason , poss Hope , that’s 9 players and we got 1 coming in , if we promote from below we are in big trouble as the players are either crap or not ready , gee I hope we are out shopping and having a go , Smithers , Paulo , Cody N , all signed up nothing for us

im seeing this "logic" or justification everywhere since last nights game...its a childish loser attitude imo...but if it makes some feel better.

The last try wasnt bad...and some crazy stats...marky marks last 4 game try drought ended in a hat trick...i saw that memtioned yesterday in a betting preview wish i got on it $$$

If the Cowboys were horses the stewards would swab them.
They had beaten a near full strength Broncos team the week before this capitulation.Records set during this defeat.

Yeah I really don’t care who flogs whoever else. We have our own problems being the laugh of the league.

Yeah it’s a shocker of a scoreline in the history of the game for sure, but for me no other team’s misfortune will negate WT past 15 years of ineptitude. Feel sorry for them yes, but they are still streets ahead of us.

The Gold Coast are the Queensland equivalent of us, crap team that usually finishes in the bottom 8. They may have had a finals appearance once or twice during our 15 year drought, I’m not sure of the stats, but at least we have won a premiership, something they look nowhere near getting in the foreseeable future. The main difference is that they don’t seem to generate the drama that we do every stinking year, despite performing poorly throughout each season.

On paper the Coast have had some good squads over the years but seldom deliver. On the other hand we have had plenty of bog average players in our team for the past decade and a bit
 
Scores like this will be far more common in the coming years, the speed of the game is too fast for players to keep up. Once momentum shifts if you can't wrestle your way back in somehow your blown away. We should know this better than most, i didnt watch the 2nd half but i did have a little chuckle at the final score.
