Re-Branding of Leagues Clubs SMH

Funny Im sure I thought people were saying the leagues club model was outdated, and these same people are arguing for it here

It shouldn't, thats why I like heritage rounds. Picked up my first Magpie jersey ever this year.

Will it be in the inner-west or the south west?

Will it be in tigers inner-west around leichhardt, or magpies inner-west like ashfield?

Who will fund it, who will run it, will it be an independent board or a 50/50 board…

The Tiger and the Magpie is both part of the Wests Tigers

The only issue where this seems to impact on the WTs is the boardroom

If Ashfield and Cambelltown want to have a Magpie on the roof no issues ,it is still part of the WTs

Is changing it going to have an impact ?? Not really , so leave it Simple

I'd say those that would complain about the loctaion wouldnt have the entire issue at heart, theyd be more concerned of ''the other mob'' getting some advantage…Id say genuine people to this cause would embrace the club wherever the location

I'm suggesting it would be the respective clubs themselves that would be raising these points and fighting each other over those issues.

I would genuinely like to see a wests tigers leagues club at homebush, since that's where the majority of our games will be played for the foreseeable future. But that takes money, and money apparently isn't something we have.

wtf does re-branding leagues clubs achieve ? most of you hacks are under the impression that they aren't required by the Wests Tigers…. most of you would rather get a loan from the NRL and have it repaid out of the annual grant (good luck competing for recruits when the club will have less to spend now) than be funded by one of the leagues clubs that has made it no secret that it wants to own the Wests Tigers brand !!

Why would ashfield and balmain rename the clubs the Wests Tigers with only 2 seats each on a board? Why would they throw away years dedicated to building there club to what it is today ? why would wests campbelltown rename itself wests tigers when it is only a sponsor now ? should the great saviour harry T rename his company the Wests Tigers now also ? hacks...

Agree 1000 percent thier is no Balmain or magpies thier is only Wests Tigers , those in Campbelltown support the tiger as it is theirs those in Leichhardt support the wests as it is as much theirs as anyone else's. the leagues clubs should not only rebadge to wests tigers but merge the clubs completely into 1 organisation. How can balmain and wests hold board seats they are not magpies or balmain they are representatives of pokie players in respective suburbs. Wests Ashfield is closer to Leivhardt then Campbelltown , more of its members or at least those thier 2 watch games on the big screens are dogs or jets or former balmain supporters then wests but that desent matter as we are 1 club wests tigers and should always be branded such to help build the club and the brand

I think you're all missing the point. The idea is to move away from being a JV and towards one club. How can you do that when one part of the business has a different emblem on it ?
No one is saying forget the past …. All I am saying is try to move forward .... It still seems many on here are unequivocally able to do that.

I meant on the jersey , they still represent us in a minor historic way

The only place we need to fix the Magpie and the Tigers is in the boardroom

A picture on the roof of a building means nothing in the big scheme of things

In the early days when I went to Rozelle I felt I was patronising the other half. There are probably ex Balmain fans who wouldn't be seen in Ashfield. If they re-branded Wests Tigers Leagues in years to come that wont be an issue.
