Reality check

Dont want to ruin the mood but we dodged a bullet yesterday.

We were awful for the first half and luckily jumped on their errors in the second…..If Pattycake misses that intercept Parra score and its game over.

On the plus side...surely we wont play that badly again and winning without Farah and Teddy is a huge bonus.

And.....at least the Titans dont have a Hayne like star in their side, for our top of the table clash at Leichhardt woot!!

Reality is we were far from our best, had a poor completion rate in the first half, fixed it up in the second half, had a shocking kicking game, we were missing a host of regular starters including three of our best and still managed to come from behind and win. Yesterday is the type of win that can define a season IMO.

Agree with Willow.

That we could guts out a win like that without our two most potent attacking threat shows just how well we are going. That's a bonus win, but a bonus win that was made possible through guts, determination, and composure when it mattered.

Reality is we had key players out but showed a massive amount of guts. Sometimes you have to win ugly and we did. This side has more guts than any Wt's side i've ever seen.

Everything you have said is true. We got lucky in a very scrappy match. However I'd like to just take a moment to reflect on that phrase.

Top of the table clash at Leichardt.

When was the last time those 7 words were uttered in that order?

The only time anyone would have thought they would be able to mutter those words this year would have been in round 1

Great isnt it!!!

Yep we picked our game up in the 2nd half, Parra had there chances but couldnt score. We played with a lot of Heart Yesterday, And at full strength i think we could of done them a lot easier.

Finding a way to win.

The good teams do it.

Manly have looked god awful is all but two of their performances and they are winning.

The guts were churning though but as it turns out Parra did a Wests Tigers circa 2007 and threw away a game they should have wrapped up

It was an ugly win but wins like that are the difference between finishing in the finals and just missing out.

Teams that finish in the top four usually manage to win ugly on a regular basis, you can't play perfect football for 28 weeks.

Hopefully we can scrape a few more of these when we need them.

Agree and the thing is it was actually with our 3 most potent attacking threats.I think sirro's wide running when he returns will work wonders for us also. Not forgetting brooksy of course. both he and Sirro will have an awesome combo im sure.
