Reddy to Souths

Bad call in my opinion , he has had a lot to do with the massive improvements in the back 3 and would of been good back up for our 2014 centres and or a bench player

He will be missed ,good luck Joel

THE player exodus at Wests Tigers has continued with South Sydney poised to announce the signing of centre Joel Reddy.

The Daily Telegraph understands a deal has been already been struck for Reddy to shift to Redfern from next season.

It is unknown just yet whether the contract will span one or two years.

Reddy is currently sidelined with a groin injury and missed last night’s match against the Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium.

He isn’t expected to play for Wests Tigers again.

Over the past two years, Wests Tigers have lost Reddy, Benji Marshall, Gareth Ellis, Chris Heighington, Bryce Gibbs, Beau Ryan, Andrew Fifita, Blake Ayshford and possibly Tim Moltzen.

Reddy, a City representative, has played the past two years at Wests Tigers after spending the previous seven seasons at Parramatta.

His acquisition comes on the day Souths lost rising winger Justin Hunt to Parramatta…...

Reliable and tried his guts out for us, good luck to him and while unlikely, I hope he cements a spot at Souths.

Writing was on the wall when Lulia was signed. Good luck to Reddy, he had one poor season and one decent one. Never gonna set the park on fire though.

Good for him and fine for us we have a lot of outside backs for next year already

Nofoaluma, Koroibete, Simona, Lulia, Lawrence, Richards, Big T and probably Lote given how good he was last night.

Plus I think a couple of the 20s players will come through over the next couple of years (although mayby the halves just make them look good)

No loss. Offers nothing other than being cheap. Slow, turnstile, cant defend kicks, can't break the line.

Maybe souths have signed him as a new training technique - human tackling bags!

More deadwood cleared out. Glad to hear he's gone.

Not much elft to rid ourselves of now, just Anasta, Moltzen, Utai, Iosefa and Tuqiri

Can't beleive the negative comments,Reddy is a decent player who had a crack, unlike most of the others.

Fact is, he's just not NRL quality and we have many players younger and better than him.

No point wasting cap space on a bloke who will sit in NSW Cup for 20 odd weeks of the year.

With Richards coming and the talented youth we have retained he was only there for added depth and even then his contract was too high to retain him for that role
