Regret is a hell of a drug – Just ask Aaron Woods and James Tedesco

these 3 were the causes of WT dismayed performance. Good riddance, we don't want rubbish which they had dug out in the past. As I said before, it wasn't JT that let us down, but performance of the terrible 3.

Rubbish JT has played a massive part in our downfall stop trying to rewrite history

Nobody ever wishes they were richer when they lay on their deathbed. These guys may become rep stars but they will never be legends now.

Geez there's some drama Queens in this club. We watch these people play football on a weekend. We don't get a slice of their life , along with the right to decide what they say and do after that. They're professional sportsmen they don't give a bugger what you or I think . It's their life, not ours.

No one claimed they were entitled to a slice of their life. They are entitled to express their opinions, though. If they think they are dogs, this is the appropriate venue to express that feeling.

Players say that they don't care about the punters' opinions, but there's a reason Tedesco deleted his Twitter.

Should see the comments on Woods' instagram, lol

I agree with some of this. It wasn't Taylor's fault. Just as it wasn't Potter's. And if they don't succeed this year it won't be Cleary's. Time to stop blaming the coaches, it's getting old. Maybe part of the problem has been the egos Marshall, Farah, Moses etc etc

The difference between the coaches is that Marshall and Farah under earlier coaches developed into top players whereas Brookes and Moses have not. I am wondering if JT, insisting that Robbie feed them the ball, threw them too early into the lion's den. At Souths with Robbie deciding the play they are scoring plenty of tries, as he did over here occasionally. And as Robbie stated on his demotion to reserve it was defence letting them down - he blasted the relevant stats. So when JT installed those 2 youngsters he also had to consider their defensive capabilities and effort.

So the team goes downhill over time and the ambitious ones want to abandon ship to win a GF - almost fair enough when taking into consideration WT's form on club and player loyalty. I believe that Mitch will win a GF eventually. Under different coaching he will get his game together, will find the relevant team and bingo. If the guy wasn't ambitious he would not be screaming during the game trying to get things moving, same as Farah. So of course they want GFs.

Whilst I agree to not let these three go, I would play them all in reserve grade. They are not on the bus. They're clearly thinking of next year, why should we give them more game time and let them develop more. I want them to rot for as long as we have control. Play whoever in their positions, just not these 3 rats. And yes, I hope they all get injured

The only way they'll have any regrets is if our club wins a premiership before any of their's. They're professional athletes, they don't have the same mentality as supporters. They'll get on with the job. They won't care.

I do not know if this is totally true, every first grade wants to get a premiership ring
As local juniors you make mates all through the grades, rugby league is a funny tribial thing
I am bitterly disappointed to see these blokes leave, but it just not the game it was before it turned totally professional.
I had a mate last week complain about his team, Brisbane boy and my response was " if you really followed rugby league, try following a team that is not constantly in the 8, that will test your loyalty "
I guess Aaron & James do not want that test anymore
Good luck to em, they go the tigers continue

Calling these guys rats and vermin is way too harsh.

I quit my job and moved to another company because I didn't like the way that business was run, am I a traitor? Because they trained me for years and I'm going to apply that training somewhere else, they'd feel bad but in the end no1 says I'm a rat.

I don't get how this is any different. If we were a better club, they wouldn't have left. Only got ourselves to blame.

I'm not sure they're rats either, but your example is only remotely similar.

You probably didn't go out publicly and say you wanted to go to a more successful organisation, and then continue to represent the original organisation for the next 6 months.

That's an issue with the NRL, this nonsense happens every year somewhere.

I think what most supporters are dirty about is that i have no doubt that the woods and tedesco were the driving course behind the sacking of taylor….then the club appoints a quality coach and they then do the bolt...

I don't how you can call yourself a fan and honestly think this. Geez some people need to get their acts together.

These guys have acted like complete and utter scum. The lies they keep peddling are pretty funny. I don't know how anyone can respect them.

i agree to the majority of what you've said

teddy shouldn't have said "bulldogs and roosters will always be strong" but i cannot understand the overreaction to all of this at all. teddy and woods have already played under 4 different coaches (not counting webster) in 6 years. everyone has a personal goal- win premiership, play origin, play for australia etc and they have the right to make a decision according to that.

now at this point, they were forced to make a decision by friday 5 pm. they werent ready for it, so now they don't have to worry about next year. you can't force players to make a decision in april about next year. however, im sure the club has taken this decision so that the focus can be shifted back on this year; and it seems to work coz teddy and woods definitely didn't let anyone down with their performances.

everyone has a right to disagree with me but there's nothing personal here- judge them for their on field performance coz we know less than 10% of what goes on off field.

The "Vermin 3" won't regret a single thing. Delusions of entitlement will never allow such thoughts. If you asked them, I'd say they will say "WT didn't do enough for us". The club bent over backwards for these rats and you can bet they didn't appreciate nor acknowledge that fact in the slightest.
Listening to Big Sports Breakfast yesterday morning and talking to my brother who is a Dogs supporter, I haven't heard a Dogs fan yet say they are excited to have Woods coming to their club. To me that is highly unusual and watch out Woodsy if you start playing like a dud at Canterbury- their fans will direct more hate and vitriol at you than you have ever known "BROTHER".

As Moses says100%

Ted and Woods were both great today, but it's a club's job to judge them off the field also. We can't afford to wait while they bugger around for another month or so and there's no one left to sign.

i agree, the club can't wait and im in favour of the deadline. but i dont understand why we all want them to make the decision right now? teddy jumped the gun once and rushed in to a decision; im sure he doesnt wanna do it again

The people calling any other human beings 'rats', 'scum' and 'vermin' because of a decision about their professional careers are just exposing themselves for who they truly are.

On the article itself, the bloke writing this is a flog. It's littered with factual errors and incorrect assumptions (eg - when Teddy signed with Canberra he had a different manager, they all left for less money). Just another Wests acolyte looking to defend the people really running this club into the ground like they already did with their own club in the late 90s.

"They werent ready for it"? The contracts have been on the table for them for 5 or 6 months mate, it wasn't just thought up last weekend. Plenty of time. They wanted to leave.
They played good today but no amount of good performances will wash away the shifty way they have treated the club and supporters this past month (especially Woods).

Couldn't be doing much worse than Trodden Di Girolamo and Co…At least Wests have the cash to throw at the problems..Cleary didn't come cheap..
