Rep Pack

Just reading through the rep teams announced tonight and one thing jumped out at me…

We have 5 forwards playing in the city/country game!

Add to that Ellis and I dare say we have never had as many rep forwards... Ever!

add adam blair next year and it will be an all rep pack plus rep subs

(no wonder sheens stayed)

It might be a rep pack on paper but it still goes missing alot of the time. The balance isnt quite there yet. Missing a few strong ball runners amongst all the workhorses. But its slowly building up with Galloway and Fifita (although we can not see them on the field for long periods of the game), and then of course Dwyer (who can go MIA).

It's not just the forwards,

Tim Moltzen
Benji Marshall
Robbbie Farah
Keith Galloway
Simon Dwyer
Liam Fulton
Chris Heighington

Then Add (If Fit) Bryce Gibbs, Chris Lawrence, Lote Tiquri.

And in the wings IMO Fifita, Lui & Woods.

No wonder Tim has decided on another 3 years

No our forwards are too small - "men against boys" and that sort of thing that I keep reading from some haters. :unamused:

I can't believe how good our pack is with so little experience. In the next 2 to 3 years, we will hopefully have Galloway, Gibbs, Heigno and Ellis in their prime and young guys like Dwyer, Fafita, Woods and BMM with 25-75 games under their belt and really hitting their straps.

Go tigers.

Adolf made some odd selections for City but it will be good for our guys to get some experience

Our pack looks a million dollars when they get cheap field position from opposition turnovers. When they have to get into a arm wrestle with a team like the Bronks and have to cart the ball off their own line every set, they loose interest quick. Lets hope this is a turning point for the season but their inconsistency really irks me

Sorry Guys I disagree - While I really enjoy City County, its a once off Best of the Rest game.

I like our pack they can be very good workers but this is over inflating them.

No one in our pack runs like Matt Scot, Petro or a Hannant. Ellis's mega hits have disappeared. Everyone of our pack should be a world beater especially Gall but we seem to lack mongrel.

I wait for the day when one or more really click.

Couldnt agree more - the Raiders were atrocious and kept giving us the ball back.
Can't say our boys are a great pack until they consistantly play well against teams that are playing good football and sticking it to them.
The talent is obviously there - now they need to keep putting it together on a weekly basis.
