IMO it is really much of a muchness re Sezer v Brooks. A matter of taste really.
But Brooks for Gamble? - I wouldn’t do that. I’d have Mbye at 7 and Thompson at 1.
I think this needs to happened sooner rather than later if we want a chance of playing finals

That is what I was saying, Geo said I would have Gamble in there if I had my way, what I said was "Brooks needs to get a wake up call and play some reserve grade, if that means Gamble has to come in, so be it"
I meant I don't care who plays 7, players need to know they are accountable and can't just coast along.

@Geo I was at the game, his general play kicking was ordinary, all the supporters on the hill were in agreeance with me, I never said he should go to ESL, I just said he has over 100 NRL games and has been highly or over paid for all of those years, yet he can't control a game.
And re Gamble, yes I agree Brooks should have been dropped a stack of times in his 107 game career, but he hasn't, if he was he may have developed better or quicker, you love him and that's fair enough, I think he has had a free ride and should be a better player by now, that is my opinion.
Just because I don't agree with you doesn't make me wrong, his kicks found the player all the time, his touch finders were very average, I know what I seen

Of course you are entitled to your opinion but you are right I don't agree with it .. Brooks kicked for 287m in general play and had 2 TRY Assists of kicks so to me that doesn't really equate to crap as you keep putting it..can he do better of course he can..but you can say that about any half in the comp..

On the dropping can you explain how 5 Coaches now have never dropped him...?

1st try assist was off a botched grubber. A complete fluke that was!!
2nd try assist was in the 80th minute when the game was over. Was a nice kick I'll give you that. But meh.

That equates to CRAP.

@Geo x2 our chasers in the danger zone haven’t been doing anything at all they just jog there. There were 2 good kicks from brooks on their line which could have easily ended up being 2 repeat sets, but our chasers just don’t show ergency when we are on their line attacking.

I was at the ground mate, I saw his kicks, and I agree, Roberts was getting 30+ metres from a penalty, Brooks about 10 to 15, his clearing kicks were finding players and lacking distance, his bombs were for the most part just a free turn over for the coast.
He defended well though, and the last kick was game over no pressure, and as you say he was very lucky on the first one.
We see one thing, Geo and his mate another, that's the way it is, but I stand by my comments he should have been dropped numerous times in his career, not sure why he wasn't, maybe they invested so heavily they were too afraid to drop him.

Agree. On the in goal kick chasers. Most of the kicks have been good by the Tigers halves this season. Our chasers not so.

Well, in all honesty they aren't very good.

So the 15th and 16th ranked halves come on the market

Is anyone in the media ever going to call out Ricky Stuart for churning through his halves. He has lost patience with every single half he has recruited, at every club he has coached at.

Maybe the problem is the guy cant coach them.

Sezer fits no recruitment ideas from us.
Is he GOOD, i.e. better then 50% of the halves out there. NO
Is he dirt cheap? Probably not and will go to ESP for 500K or so.

The only way i see him fitting is if McGuire goes "lets get a team managing half and shift Brooks to 5/8". Sezer can kick, and defend. His team management is better then Brooks but no Maloney or Cronk ofcourse.

What about Reynolds? Shift him to Center. He is a ok 5/8. His defense and running game is more like a center. His passing is below average for a 5/8 but above average for a center.

All said and done. PASS on Sezer. Although Ricky has a habit of burning halves who can be quite good.
