RL World Cup 2017 Thread...* SPOILERS

**Fifita should never be selected for NSW again after this. Knowing how shoddy the rules are though, I'm sure he'll be one of the first Blues chosen next year.**
Matulino has to be unlucky, especially given no Taulmalolo, Bromwich and Proctor. Was one of the Warriors best towards the end of the year. No complaints though, means he will be fresh for us.

yep the rules allow him to choose aus/tonga. he can't choose nz/england and if he did he wouldnt be able to play origin
but why shouldn't he be selected?

Playing for you country is a higher honour then playing for your state.

If you turn down the opportunity to play for your country, you don't deserve to play for your state.

I think Tedesco will be one of those players who never will make the Australia team because I think Tom Trbojevic is the next fullback

Tedesco is a one trick pony in the same vain as Pearce. Their natural skill makes them look good at club level where they can exploit the weaknesses of other one trick ponies but they can not adapt their games as required in representative teams. With Slater selected, Tedescos only hope was to sell himself as viavble alternative who can play wing until needed at the back.

People argue that he was great in Origin 1 this year. Thats mostly true but he was against the weakest QLD side in a dozen years. When they got the selections correct in games 2 and 3 he was nullified. Unfortunately, his stint at the rorters will gaurantee NSW selection and just like Pearce, he will fail. He needs to improve all aspects of his game.

Have the Lebanese team caught the last train for the coast?

The delay in team announcement is trying to shrink a few heads so capt and VC Capt posi. can be worked out without head butting and ankle twists.

how many tigers players are in the world cup

So far

Elijah Taylor (NZ)
Russell Packer (NZ)
Mahe Fonua (Tonga)
Tuimoala Lolohea (Tonga)
Nathan Milone (Italy)

Squads have until 13th October to be named..

And this is the reason why bookies have us as spoon favourites.

Surely there are few more Leb heritage players running around in the NRL that could make this side a bit stronger? Mansour should be there instead of playing for Aus.

NSW is a state in Australia.

He doesn't want to play for Australia so why should he play for an Australian state?
