I think this could work

1\. Marshall
2\. Koroibete
3\. Lawrence
4\. Ayshford
5\. Tedesco (Trust me he will get better, Koro was quiet on his first game but improved.)
6\. Moltzen
7\. Miller
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Thompson
12\. Fulton
13\. Blair

14\. Sironen
15\. Anasta
16\. Pettybourne
17\. Buchanan

Anasta can be used in the halves and backrow. Maybe put him in at 7 to take pressure of Miller for a bit during the game or even Moltzen. I am a fan to be honest. Here come the critics…

Koro may have been quiet in his first game but definately wasn't in his second. Tedesco does not look like a winger to me, the sooner we get him in the one the better off we will be.

I'd like to see Chris Lawence at fullback before Benji.
Also I am not sure M.G. is on the money about Bryce, he certainly did NOT want to leave & if he did, why are the Tigers kicking into his salary for the next couple of years?

This needed to happen when Benji was totally unable to make a tackle… when his shoulders (touch wood) were bad.

Now he is too good a ball player at 6 and sadly too slow for the no.1 possy. Hopefully Teddy is getting the 1 asap, Moltz has been great(Lately) but i'd rather him at 7.

You're right, Bryce didn't want to leave, and we're paying a chunk of his salary because Cronulla called our bluff and used Fifita as the bargaining chip to take Gibbs.

Have you read the article - Gibbs says he still love sheens, that he had depression and also caused a few incidents and after the last one they said either leave now or if anything goes wrong again we will sack you on the spot but they also had salary cap issue but it was mainly his fault he had to leave.

MG didn't do the story on Gibbsy,it was a sit down interview with another journalist,it was straight from Gibbs's mouth,so you would think it would be the truth,in the interview Gibbs said Sheens told him he was on his last warning.
He said with the depression and the incidents at the club,he left,he said he still likes Sheens and the club,no grudges.

Moltz in the halves I completely agree, it just seems we have tinkered with it all too much now. It seems impossible.

1 Marshall
6 Moltzen
7 Miller

I like the idea of fresh halves, new kickers, benji in the same league of barba gi etc

I don't think either Benji or Lawrence would have the miles in the legs to play fullback. Lawrence was absolutely knackered last week and couldn't have chased down a cold when Cherry-Evans scored his try.

Tedesco at fullback before Benji. If no one is happy with Benji at 6 then moving him to 1 won't do us any good, if Potter wants to show him who's boss than he needs to drop him if he isn't performing.

I think fullback is one of the positions we do have adequately covered, I don't see why we need to invent a new number 1\. We've got a safe enough pair of hands in Moltzen and a good young fullback ready to come through in Tedesco. It doesn't seem to be the place where we need to reinvent the wheel. We've got bigger issues in other positions. Lack of wingers, a weak backrow in an already depleted forward pack and same old musical chairs in the halves.

Moltzen was tried again at half last year and he did not impress. The club has to decide whether to persist with Miller long term, or bring in Brooks and give him a run. Otherwise you may as well make a play for someone like Chad Townsend who is off contract.

Could this smokescreen with Anasta at half result in Brooks being named on the bench at the last minute? Seems plausible to me, that way he doesn't come into Melbournes gameplan and can get some First Grade experience in the second half. Just a thought.

I said this in the team thread on tuesday,I am hopeful more than confident,I say if Brooks and Tedesco are our future lets put them in there and leave them to settle in,it will benefit us in the long run.

I think that the reason is Lawrence has an injury which is not allowing him to play anywhere near the standard he had previously. Surely Potter as his coach must know that.

Benji to fullback is crazy talk.

I love Farah, but he needs to scale his hand back a bit. If our halves took more control of the distribution, so Robbie still steps out and decides which side to work, and let the halves get more ball to send the forwards in, it will also allow them to more play whats in front of them. Its a win win all round. As it stands now, Robbie is feeding the forwards without any width eating up the first few tackles for minimal metres, and Benji isnt getting the opportunity to pick and choose his moments. Its a vicious circle we get stuck in due to lacking even the most basic attacking structure.

The good thing is, I can see Potter working on it, and have a hunch that Braith into the halves is an effort at getting the ship a bit steadier with a structure that Miller can more easily slot back into.

Or more importantly will it cause those young players to burnout?

how many games exactly was he "tried". Doesn't help also when the forwards are doing nothing for you.

People have short memories, behind lui (when we were one game from a gf) moltzen has been our best half since prince. His progress was haulted with sheens master plans to make him a fullback. He was never given a proper chance after he was injured. If he stayed in the #7, we'd have been set a long time ago.

KISS

for crying out loud, has Sheens scared us so much or are we smocking to much wacky tobaccy.

Play the players in the position…

Or wait hang on Woods would make a good fullback .. lets put him there and Teddesco at prop.

Look how well organised souths are right now.. Why cant WT be in the same boat after all these years?

Because both coaches we have had can not stick to one spine. These are some spines from the past two years:

1\. Moltzen
6\. Lawrence
7\. Marshall
9\. Farah

1\. Moltzen
6\. Ayshford
7\. Marshall
9\. Farah

1\. Moltzen
6\. Sirronen
7\. Marshall
9\. Farah

1\. Ryan
6\. Moltzen
7\. Marshall
9\. Farah

1\. Tedesco
6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen
9\. Farah

1\. Moltzen
6\. Marshall
7\. Miller
9\. Farah

1\. Moltzen
6\. Marshall
7\. Anasta
9\. Farah

1\. Moltzen
6\. Fulton
7\. Marshall
9\. Farah

And there is still more, how can we be like Souths? That stuck by the top spine they have for years and just changed it a little after Sandow left.

Well to be fair our spine with potter has been

1\. Moltzen
6\. Benji
7\. Miller
9\. Farah

over 4 rounds and 2 trials

And now the new spine, which is a good change in my opinion. We can see what happens and if we need to change back based on us vs storm and the nsw cup game too.
