Roach says Tigers players need to show they really care.

More Balmain players speaking on behalf of WT's, How long till we start getting a few guys who actually played for the club?

I tend to agree.
We shouldn't be letting any former Balmain or Western Suburbs players anywhere near the joint.

No mate just saying you are about as predictable as knowing how Benji will play on the weekend.

Like i said people only rattle on about this ''move on, we are a new club'' rubbish now when it suits them.

If they called Tommy Raudonikis for an opinion I wouldn't be upset.

Blocker works for us. He is a media personality. He is a legend of the game.

There is zero reason he shouldn't talk to the media about us.

WESTERN Suburbs legend Tommy Raudonikis rates the Parramatta side that plays the Tigers this Friday night as one of the worst sides of the modern era.
>
Raudonikis likens Ricky Stuart's Parramatta as a "rabble", an absolute "shambles" – far worse than the Magpies side he coached to consecutive wooden spoons in 1998-99.
>
The Eels go into the game against Wests Tigers after a 40-6 drubbing at the hands of Manly.
>
The Tigers fared little better, coming away from the Gold Coast on the end of a 30-point hammering at the hands of the Titans.
>
"My old mob looked bad at the weekend, but fair dinkum this Parramatta mob are an absolute shambles and play without any ticker," Raudonikis said. "I reckon I'd beat them with just three players I had in my side when we finished last twice.
>
"Without a word of a lie I could beat this lot with just Andrew Leeds, 'Cherry' Mescia and Steve Georgallis. That's how dreadful Parramatta are playing," he said. "I've watched a lot of the Eels on the box, but even when we were on the end of some big floggings and lost 12 on the trot, the crowd never booed me like they do Ricky Stuart.
>
"I'm the first to put my hand up and say I made mistakes as a coach, mostly because I listened to the wrong people. I really do feel for Stuart. He's got to be hurting."
>
The last-placed Parramatta is at home against the Tigers, six points adrift of its opposition and with the worst for-and-against record in the premiership.
>
In-fighting at the club has seen the highly respected Ken Edwards depart as chief of executive of the football club, while Bob Bentley was sacked as chief executive of the thriving leagues club.
>
The lack of results on the field continues to spill over into the boardroom where Steve Sharp is in charge of a divided board.
>
The Eels last featured in a grand final in 2009 when beaten by Melbourne, only to see the Storm have the premiership stripped from it when the club was found to have rorted the salary cap. Since then, Parramatta has finished 12th, 14th and 16th and last in 2012.
>
On the field, Chris Sandow, just one of the Eels' big-money signings, is toiling in the third-tier NSW Cup competition.
>
"I like Ricky Stuart a lot as a bloke, admired him as a player, as well as doing a good job coaching NSW in Origin, but even he must be wondering what he's got to do to turn his mob around," Raudonikis said. "If I was in Ricky's shoes, I'd just forget about what's left of this season, cop the results on the chin and start looking towards next year."

Here is Tommys thoughts on the game this week. No problem given he is a legend, has a known media presence and played for a JV team.

The complaining when an ex Balmain player talks needs to stop, seriously.

Hodgo would be great considering his history with both clubs, when he returns from ESL I'd love him to be the go to comment guy.

The media loves legends of the games having a comment.

Blocker,Benny,Sirro,Raudonikaus,Kelly fit the bill.

I have no issue listening to anything these blokes say…they were that good and know that much about the game they deserve it.

One would hardly call O'Neill,Senter,Galea legends of the game.Great clubmen and I loved them.

Maybe the media should start looking elsewhere for a comment because as much as Blocker and Elias are legends of the game, now they are both a pair dicks !

Back to the article…

I think it's fair to say that Fulton, Farah, Tedesco & Woods have put in at every opportunity.

Buchanan, Sue, Nofa, Simona, Ava & Siro have all looked like they are having a go, with some understandable lapses.

In limited opportunities I think it's hard to critisise Galloway & BMM as both look to be playing hard when on the field.

That leaves an impressive list of players that we all think haven't had a dig this season...

IF you want to hear what an old Tiger thinks about the current generation, then listen to Steve "Blocker" Roach.
>
There was no prouder player to ever pull on a Tigers jumper but the former Test great believes today's stars have lost touch with the club's history.
>
And while giving credit to Benji Marshall for all he has done for the club, Blocker said the Tigers made the right decision in cutting him loose.
>
"Yes, we need to move on," Roach said. "He has been great for the club but we needed to keep young (Luke) Brooks and (Mitchell) Moses.
>
"Although they haven't played first grade yet, they are the future. If we signed Benji for what he wanted we wouldn't be able to keep those kids.
>
"Benji hasn't played great for three or four years. All the footage I see of him was from 2005\. He was brilliant back then, he won our first premiership. But unfortunately in sport you get a tap on the shoulder and your time is up.
>
"He has been great for the Tigers, don't get me wrong, but unfortunately in my opinion he has lost track of what he gets paid for. He gets paid to be a footy player."
>
And Blocker believes plenty of Marshall's teammates have also lost touch with a footballer's reality.
>
"I will probably get howled down for it but a lot of them blokes have to decide if they want to be in Sydney Confidential or play football," he said.
>
"I'm involved with the Tigers, as you know, but the big problem I can see is that there are 10 strings on the table and none of them are tied together. There are too many factions pulling in different directions."
>
He said the players should use Melbourne Storm as their yardstick.
>
"I look at Cooper Cronk and Cameron Smith and they know the history of the game," he said. "They love the game. They don't give a rat's arse if they are in Sydney Confidential or if there is a story about their wives. They love the game. They care. I would love you to put that in.
>
"Let it be a wake-up call.
>
"I watch the Tigers closely every week. We were renowned for getting down in the gutter. Where is our creed now, what we believe in?
>
"You have to remember why you are there, what got you the money to do what you do."

I guess Blockers acting like a ''spoilt brat'' too eh?

The guy should try supporting the club instead of sniping and stirring shit at every opportunity. Old bitter has been.

He just seems to me to have evolved from a player to a forum member lol

He's right. The same players that didn't put in last year haven't changed and thankfully are moving on. Not soon enough. And then Anasta joined them.

For one, I'm sure the less anyone has to see of Ayshford's lacklustre bewilderment, the better the team's going to seem. Otherwise, the attitude has improved a little this year with the youngsters.
