So we see that Souths were under pressure, probably to keep Damien Cook.
We hire Luke Burgess as a coach assistant. Hey makes sense.

We are looking for a forward and maybe a winger. Because hey a good winger scores tries and either Nofo or Thompson could get an upgrade (love them both, but hey that's NRL). Thompson is def a good depth option.

What baffles me here is how come we were never mentioned in relation to George? We seemed to be set up to take him and it's Parramatta with the $$. Yes we need a winger or dare I say Fullback but surely our priority is a Forward?

Jennings, you are welcome here. But would anyone on this forum take Jennings over George Burgess?

Ah so George Burgess plus TPJ and you get an awesome Rabbits pack.
I have to say full Credit to Wayne. Ricky Stewart rejects TPJ at Canberra and Wayne makes him first Grade

If we sign Jennings that will only leave one spot left in the Top 30\. For the last spot we should be trying to get the best prop available

TPJ was not rejected from Canberra, they knew what they had and they did not want to lose him. It's been well known for a long time that TPJ was a talent.

Agree with Nelson. Raiders poached TPJ from the Knights originally for 1 season 2013, then Raiders re-signed him for 2014-2106\. During this period TPJ played Junior Kangaroos 2014-15.

At the start of 2016 TPJ signed a 2-year deal with Broncos for 2017-18 and Raiders ultimately released him rather than hold him for just 1 more season. This part happens all the time - sign a talented footballer before his contract is done, then pressure their current club to release them early. In fairness it's not a sign of a club failing to realise talent, rather it's the club having the rug pulled out from under them.

Also look at the props and backrowers Raiders already had in 2016 - Papalii, Tapine, Soliola, Whitehead, FPN, Boyd, Junior Paulo, Paul Vaughan. Most of them rep level. That side was 1 win (2 points) away from the Grand Final.

Can we please stop with the "why weren't we mentioned in relation to XXX" comments? Being mentioned or not has nothing to do with actual activity in the player market. And then actually being mentioned is usually wrong or misleading anyway.

Jennings is a young player that on paper makes us a better / more attractive club to other players

Lock him in
