How did woods not win prop of the year???
He had the best stats by far, just shows everything about nrl is a popularity contest, especially video ref decisions.
Remember 2009 people when bulldogs won all the awards those awards didnt take them anywhere that year so hopefully it happens again this year.

True….....I thought you were going to ask how the hell Tim Sheens was not nominated for coach of the year :astonished: :astonished:

Its a shame with Robbies injuries that he never featured in the Hooker of the year, I guess we wont be featuring in any of the awards now.

So Aaron Woods had polled 14 points in the voting and Kasiano nowhere in sight yet he gets the prop of the year, how is that possible ?

plenty of winners this year have been horrible choices, that was not one of them.

Don't get me wrong he is a quality player, I just think Robbie put his hand up more in SOO

Nate was man of the match in game 1, won the player of the series and his team actually won. He was a shoe in for the award.

Kasiano winning was a joke, but Woods shouldn't have got it, Tamou should have.

Tamou was injured for half the year! I have no qualms with Kasiano getting it, considering how dominant he has been in a winning team. Woods played really well all season too, but our pack was dominated more often than not. Unfortunately he was a victim of our crap year.

When was Tamou injured? The only games I can recall him missing were in the lead up to origin (where he excelled).

Kasiano wasn't even the best front rower at his club. If it wasn't Tamou it should have been Graham.

from another forum where the numbers were crunched

Tamou - 150.7m/game
Woods 138.8m/game
Scott 137.25m/game
Matulino 126.5m/game
Kasiano 97m/game
McGuire 99.7m/game

Tamou deserved it. Woods would have easily been the second best prop in the game this year though given his age and development.

It is truly scary to think how good he will be in five years time if he keeps developing.

kasiano plays for a winning team, his offloads have led to breaks and tries.
unfortunately woods plays for a losing team, his offloads have led to…. nothing...
his time will come.
claiming he was robbed however i think is a bit sooky.

Yep exactly right mate

I was never thinking Aaron would win this award, but was surprised that Kasiano's won. I, like many others had penned in Tamou for the Prop of the year.

Mickey mouse awards, for a number of years now. Remember a few years back, Farah just missed out on the medal, yet Ennis won hooker of the year, that said it all. Besides this year Matt Chechin should have got it, Bill Harrigan coach of the year.
