i hope parra dont swing their attention towards robbie after missing out on the code jumper , we need to sign him up asap , would be an absolute same to loose him

Well at present it's the NRL fault we cannot sign Robbie as 2014 Cap hasn't been set and he won't sign till he knows cap

Well its been pretty quiet on this front and players leaving in general since Potter took over. In the absence of anything solid it's a case of wait and see. I'm sure WT will offer Farah a contract appropriate to his ability and value to the club. After that it is up to Robbie.
IF Robbie resigns he will spend the rest of his life as a WT institution, A past player that will forever be regarded in high stead and will be trotted out for every reunion and occasion.

Raudonikis is about as Wests as you can get and yet he nicked off to Newtown at the end of his career. Didn't really tarnish the love held for the guy by the Magpie faithful.

The ace in our pocket with trying to re-sign Farah is, that WT's should be able to claim the long serving player allowance for players that have played 8 yrs for the one club since being graded. I'm not sure if it's still 100k? that doesn't count towards the salary cap like it was when we unsuccessfully tried to claim that concession for Farah and Gibbs a couple of years ago that Schburt knocked back because the NRL starts that from under 20's level and we counted it from Jersey Flegg for them because there wasn't an under 20's back then but Schubert disagreed, claiming that pre Toyota Cup players could only be graded through the open-age NSW Cup.

Tracked down the article on Farah's last contract being knocked back the long serving player concession, so WT's should be able to claim that allowance this time if we are able to re-sign him.

TIGERS stalwarts Robbie Farah and Bryce Gibbs have unwittingly found themselves at the centre of the club's $187,140 salary cap breach, which furious Wests officials believe was imposed on a dubious technicality over long-serving player allowances.
The Tigers comfortably topped a list of five clubs - including Gold Coast, St George Illawarra, Parramatta and Canberra - that were yesterday fined for breaking last year's cap. The NRL, however, came down hard on the Tigers for applying long-serving player discounts to both Farah and Gibbs 12 months ago.
As exclusively revealed by The Daily Telegraph last year, the joint venture claimed a $100,000 exemption for the pair, who were graded at Jersey Flegg level with its respective junior feeder clubs Balmain (Farah) and Western Suburbs (Gibbs) in 2002.
Under NRL rules, players are eligible for the discount when they have served eight seasons after being graded in Toyota Cup. But Farah and Gibbs graduated before the National Youth Competition was introduced and the Tigers argued its previous Under-20s equivalent, Jersey Flegg, should be seen as an equivalent for the purposes of the exemption.
Salary Cap auditor Ian Schubert disagreed, claiming that pre-Toyota Cup players could only be graded through the open-age NSW Cup. Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys and Schubert have been engaged in a running battle over the rule's interpretation for the past year, with the Tigers also claiming Farah should be exempted because he became an international in 2002 after debuting for Lebanon.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph last night, Humphreys also disputed the remaining $87,140 breach - which was in lieu of educational expenses and living away from home allowances for younger players. He indicated the club would argue its case to NRL boss David Gallop.

He'll more then likely say "dunno yet" and I'll leave it at that. But he may well say its a pile of rubbish or a media beat up, and shed a few thoughts.
And GNR, I just thought something (if anything) from the horses mouth might be a little better then a bunch of forumers casting predictions and theories of where Farahs head will be at in a years time. No harm in asking.

My thoughts on Robbies next contract are . if WE perform and have a great year under Potter than Robbie will not be going anywhere .
Parra have Hopate coming back next year at 800 k and IF Folau is in their sights than do your sums , there isnt going to be much left to offer .The cards are in our hands .

Robbie is loyal, but we wants another premiership. If tigers can't give him a chance at that, then he may look around. For the tigers sake, I hope 2013 is a huge turnaround year and we go well.
