Robbie Farah Dally M Hooker of the Year

Carney was the more influential player all season.

The thing I find most amusing is Farah and Carney being the experts "best two players this year" couldn't crack the NSW squad. Absurd.

Pretty much, but hey, the superstars Ennis and Barrett who weren't even nominated for positional awards are 10 times better anyway… :brick:

EEEEEEEXXXXXXXXAAAAAACCCCCTTTTTLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYY

Man nail on the head. Comiz to Rob, Congrats to Carney. Fair result all round.

How can a player who is so bad defensively even get the award? It should be awarded to the best all round player for the whole year. Also, how did anasta get captain?….

WELL DONE ROBBIE!!!

Jamie Lyon, centre of the year, didn't make the 8, I've had a couple of bourbons tonight but really!.

Hes been very good in the games ive seen….basically carried the team.

Unbelievable for Robbie

Bigger more important things await however

Thurston Dally M winner - 2005

Unlucky Rob but thankfully, unlike last year, his form warranted him the Dally M Hooker of the year. Woken up to the reality of it all, Laurie Daley? Farah MUST be selected for the Blues next season.
Congrats to Benji too for finishing top 4 after yet another injury free season.

Both had slow starts to the year. Origin Squads are usually formed by Round 8…

Who are the experts?

You gotta feel for him not getting the award by 1 point.

Still 2 tigers in the top 4 and we are are in the finals. Not too bad.

Benji & Farah cancelled each other out just like Prince & Hodgo in 2005.

A excellent showing though

That's right. The award is made for one-man-teams, thus Jonathan Thurston has won it so many times.

Not only that but the conspiracy theory part of my brain wonders how the hell Carney scored two points in the game where Cronulla destroyed the Roosters?

The awards last night should ensure that Saturday's game will be go to that extra level as the players try to prove the critics right or wrong.

I remember Thurston winning the top award in 2005\. I doubly enjoyed beating the Cowboys twice in the finals that year because of that. Will it be a similar story in 2010?

Not Really…Dally M judge Cronulla V Roosters...L. Daley.

If we beat the tits last friday Robbie would have been standing up there with Carney.
Oh well not to worry. He still got an award so congrats Robbie  :wahoo:

Thing is Ellis was MOM for mine and should have gotten more points than Farah.

Oh well. Another distraction for me

I don't see how both had slower starts to their years than the counterparts of their positions that were named ahead of them.

The "experts" are the Dally M voters. Apparent footy minds and ex players. Whether or not they are truly experts is irrelevant to my point. They are the experts given the job by the NRL hive mind.

What would've capped it off for me was if L.Daley and M.Ennis gave Robbie his Dally M Award for Hooker of the year!…Shame shame shame on that goose L.Daley!...has he resigned as selector yet?
